looks good to me. Closed top have their place as well as open top. I run both. Also, i would move or get rid of that admin pouch. Its way to big and i see it getting in the way of reloads. I the mil spec monkey small patch pouch made by tactical tailor on my banshee and it fits perfect. It works much better for basic storage, is smaller, and you can still add velcro patches.

You know it was a toss up between what I have and that one and I figured that since this one was a tad smaller than other admin pouches I would try it. But now that I have it, it does seem a tad big. It doesn't seem to bad as far as getting in the way of my tacos but I also had mag inserts in my kangaroo pouch that I really liked but I can't access them with this admin pouch. But for 13 bucks I'll just order the smaller one and try it. Edit: I moved it to my weak side cumberbun. Love it. Way better plus I can use my kangaroo pouch mag inserts again! Thanks |

Don't you worry about the CAT if you're prone or doing a low crawl? A little but I kind of prefer it to other methods of attaching TQs to your gear because it seems easier to just rip it out of the shock cord. I could see mud and gunk clogging the velcro but it will still tighten enough to stop bleeding. |

Totally agree with you there. Great iconic look, feels great, it's a tack driver with practice. But it's heavy, it's a prima donna when it gets dirty/sandy ( great quality for the local we've been fighting in the past 14 years), and you better make those 7 shots count. I'm welcoming the change to Glock 19's with open arms. It will be a bit sad to see the Marine Corps the iconic side arm however.

Honestly, they were just thrown in there after cleaning a bunch of gear. Looking at it in the corner of the room now their switched. I will admit I used to grab them that way when I was young and dumb, but was shown the light on the whole sweep across the body and grab with the index finger stretched to the top of the magazine. |

Every single time. Must have bought 6 if those stupid things, even after we stopped getting issued M9's it was still on the list. Never was issued a belt to put it on either, or a pouch that would actually attach to my gear. |

The older dudes would talk about how before these new colt commissioned 45's came out, you would have to wrap your 45 up in a towel or t-shirt before hitting a target or any sand that made its way in pretty much made your gun a paperweight after the first shot. Not as much of a problem with these, but i've still seen them go down over jams from a minuscule amount of junk getting in the slide. Haha, no. I just keep the end of the PTT stuffed in there so its not dangling freely when not connected. If you can tell i've got a elastic-ish radio pouch that tucks under the cummerbund. When not stuffed with a radio i just throw an extra mag in there. The PRC's batteries are all charged in our work buildings. When you're in your hooch with no real need for one. |

Deploying it required more effort and upper body contorsion than I felt appropriate so I've since changed to a different pouch as well. |
|
|
I didn't get the MBITRs because I acquired the carrier through trade. And, to my knowledge, they're sold separately.
It's not exactly the most comfortable, but I want my carrier to have the essentials yet still be somewhat concealable under a jacket or such should the need arise. I am open to other compact, comfortable solutions however, so long as I keep the JPC. |

Hey guys. Some serious kit in here. I'm ordering a JPC 1.0, but right now I still just have the MOPC i bought when I first wanted to see if I really wanted a PC. (I won't tarnish the thread with a pic of it.). . I have a question, because radio is my other hobby. I see some pretty high dollar radios in some of these PCs. Aside from the obvious LEO setups, who are you guys talking to? Carbine classmates, HAM repeaters? Just curious, because an XTS5000 is quite an expensive HT, and those PTTs ain't cheap either.
|
|
|
Where are you guys mounting your night vision molle pouch? I don't really want to stick it on my PC. Do you guys put it in the PC, or belt? Separate assult pack?
