I made this so I could grab my SG and pull it right to a Low ready. It's hidden from the doorway but allows ready access to my stuff in case SHTF. Just a 2x6 w/ a clip from the hardware store mounted on the side of my dresser. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e325/OFCJAX/rackempty.jpg Here's what it looks like mounted. *NOTE: It has to be mounted this way to allow the receiver clearence from hitting the side of the dresser. I'll probably cover the whole thing in either velcro or stain it. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e325/OFCJAX/readyrack.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e325/OFCJAX/100_0081.jpg Keeps it off the ground and holds it pretty secure (NO KIDS HERE!) I will be adding more thing to the "railway tie" like a holster for my Beretta, cell phone holder, and some flashlight clips. For all that I need more surface area than just a smaller peice. Whatcha think? |
DBerk: That IS the closet door in the pic.If the dresser is at the 12o'clockposition then the entry door is at the 1100 and the closet is at the 0100, Diesel: I have a Surefire forearm already on the SG (see bottom of 2nd pic)and the light on top of the bar is an "Anti-Toe stubbing device" Here's a better shot of the SG and SOME of the other stuff to be added. The 96G, spare mag, cell phone (for calling 911; will be getting an earbud for it cause who wants to try and keep a phone to their ear and keep the Bad guy covered) and a magic marker (you never know) http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e325/OFCJAX/100_0084.jpg |
