Here we go again... Just picked up my third XCR  Attached File Will SBR this one and throw a 11" barrel on it, and then that will also let me finally give this 7.5" 300 blackout upper I picked up a few weeks ago a try. Attached File |

Inventory Blowout That’s cool-the MLOC option is a $200 premium in the link you posted. For me, it’s still not a deal because I already have a 16” XCR…. I’d have to buy an $1800 gun and then put a $500 barrel on it to get the 10” I really want. Or, at least I think they are $500… caliber conversions are something I haven’t looked at in at least 15 years. |

I just put an order in for a F5 MFG gen 3 MSS stock and Robinson 1913 stock adapter. We’ll see if they work together sufficiently well to fix the biggest complaint I have on the XCR, the stock.  F5 ACR stock for the FN SCAR |

Shooting prone with it is not ideal.And my next XCR-L is on the way.

Finally handled one of these in person a few weeks back when a local shop had a used one on consignment. Only downsides were that it was priced close to new, was keymod and had an 18" barrel. But that was the last encouragement I needed to order a new one for myself. Have a 12" barreled "pistol" in 5.56 on order that I'll SBR once it arrives. Still trying to decide on a stock though. Probably going to be a choice between the FAST2 and the F5 ACR. |

Man Just wait till you see how it shoots! FWIW I like the fast2 and fast3, only real complaint being that its fairly slim, but that's also a positive that it folds up to be not all that wide. Congrats on ordering one, every time I let someone try it out I can see them going through their budget in their head. |

My 12" with a brace and a TBAC Ultra 9 won't register on the three shot timers we've tried. Hearing safe.  Just got a 16" 5.56 inventory blow-out in and the FAST 1 stock is awesome. I feel the need to change... nothing. I've dicked with ACR stocks. While nice, I'd just get the FAST 2 and spend the difference on ammo. Not a huge deal. Also: the Magpul PRS pad will fit on the FAST 1/2 with no more than redrilling one of the screw holes. The FAST 3 is an inch taller and all bets are off. |

Depends. Some parts for the earlier patterns are no longer in production- particularly firing pins* and recoil buffers. The Type 3 gas block has a wider adjustment range and doesn't require that one loosen the retaining nut to adjust. Gas blocks can be swapped on to older barrels, but one would also need the current Type 3 op rod. Upgrading to the current pattern means full access to all the spare parts and conversion kits. Owning one early pattern -L, two current -Ls and an -M, I'd say the Type 3 parts are a decided improvement, both in terms of reliability and serviceability. I my brother upgrades his early -L, I'll buy the old parts from him. If not, I'll have my early -L sent in. Robinson will mill the lower so it can accommodate the ass end of the current Type 3 bolt carrier/buffer at no charge. You can just order the other parts and swap them out at home. If anything, upgrade the older-style trigger assembly with the current model. I think the current one is the equal of any good AR trigger. I think it's around $500 to upgrade if one recycles the current barrel. New bolt, carrier, op rod, gas block. *firingpins.com still shows Type 0/1 firing pins in stock. I've successfully ordered from them, but my brother placed an order shortly after that never shipped and there was no contact from them. Don't know if it was a glitch or they're out of business. |

| I’ll second the trigger as a worthwhile upgrade. I rented an XCR in Idaho after they came out with the upgrade and it was surprisingly good. The original trigger is decent by USGI AR standards, but not the same zip-code as the upgrade. |

Initial thoughts: very, very pleased w/ it. Absolutely solid stock. No flex WHATSOEVER. I do wish they'd offer this with a XCR specific mounting option just to shave some of the length when mounted off, but it's not bad. I'm 5'9" and with the stock fully collapsed, it's almost perfect for my preferred LOP. It also folds left with plenty of room between the buttpad and the charging handle on my XCR-M. Finally, it feels sooooo much better than the FAST stock I have (now for sale if anyone wants it). Without having shot it (hopefully next weekend), I would highly recommend this stock. It's not the bendy F5 stock of old. Here it is mounted on my 14.5" P&W 6.5CM XCR-M on the Robinson Arms 1913 stock adapter:       |

| I just ordered an M with 16 inch H, a Kahles k16i, spuhr mount, and a huxwrx can. Hopefully mine works without having to send anything back. I was pissed off enough with FN after the scar 17 upgrade and shit on old models I'd rather go with a gun with controls I like better. Hopefully this works out. Never would have thought I'd get one after the m96 i have got abandoned but here we are. It's been around long enough now I guess and replacement parts are reasonable. I really hope I love this thing. |

I ordered myself a new L last week. Gradfathered AWB coming to a house near me in July, so i figured I better get one in the safe again while I could. This will be my fourth XCR, I went mid length this time as it’s the only hand guard length I haven’t tried. |
