Most excellent!! Cheers |

UnknownAZ, that's exactly how I mounted my M300 & M600 to my 16S & 17S.
(My only difference is that I prefer the AFG.) Works great, don't it? |

With the light in that position, can you raise the front BUIS if you need it? |

Well, that makes sense. 7.62x51 IS a better suited caliber for longer range shots. I guess that the ability to convert to 5.56 makes 17s more desirable. That said I still like 16s better. HTR. |

I'd really like to see heavier barrel assemblies for the SCAR 16. That pencil barrel looks just to thin.

Noooooooo, I want a SCAR with a heavier barrel not just under the handguards, but something like a midcontour barrel, like the barrel the M4A1 (SOCOM) comes with. What, do you have anyting against diversity? YOU may like pencil barrels, that doesn't mean we all have to like them, does it?
Seriously now, why not? I may pick up Masada someday too. TIA (this is arfcom), GET BOTH! HTR. |

TIA (this is arfcom), GET BOTH! HTR. Honestly, I would be surprised if a mid or heavier weight barrel is ever produced by FN. I do however feel that we will eventually see spare parts and currently issued barrel profiles. FWIW, my M4 clone has a Colt SOCOM barrel and I would be happier with a std Colt M4 barrel. Cheers |

Cheers From your mouth to FN's ears. I'm chopping my barrel now, but I'd love a 14" barrel as an option, and I'd love a basic spares kits (gas rings, piston, bolt/extractor, recoilf spring and guide, firing pin, etc.) I LOVE my SCAR, and I'd even considered buying a second just for spares.... but I can't quite convince myself. :) |

Cheers I'm totally in LOVE with my M4 SOCOM barrel, yeah, even the stupid M203 cuts under the HGs. It's light enough and thick enough. Best of both worlds of you ask me, then again I ALSO like heavier and LIGHTER barrels. I, as stated b4, would like to see more aftermarket parts for it. Kinda like the gazillion options we have for our ARs? HTR. |

It's so the rear portion of the m203 can fit over the barrel. Otherwise the barrel is too fat. Edit to clarify: The 203 doesn't mount on that rear cutout. It just needs it to fit over the barrel. |

Really? I don't remember that at all. I never took it off though. Thanks for the info. HTR, my bad.
Anybody have any cool SCAR pics? |

Cheers Gemtech suppressor Lynn FWIW, the G5 will work with 10.0" barrel. Cheers To work with my 10.0" barrel I had to grind a 1/16th - 1/8th of an inch or so off the lower tab of the gas plug so that the suppressor would clear it while in the rear most position to lock in place.
