I brought a Remington 870 at a local gun show a couple months ago for $172 OTD. I was told it came from a small town police department, I don't knowt that, but I knew I had to do something to it. I picked up a Knoxx Spec-Ops folding stock and Hogue forend for cheap on EE. Also got a replacement magazine spring and a sling adapter from Brownells. Then it was to a local gentleman for a refinish job. I haven't shot yet, but I will when it is done finishing curing. Whatcha think?

The paint doesn't really do it for me, but if you like that's all that matters.  I like the more traditional look of those old riot guns with the wood on them. Especially when they have a nice wood stock that hasn't been beaten to hell that makes them look almost brand new. |

Apparently you haven't looked hard enough for a 870 stock set, I saw at least two for sale right here on the EE about a month ago, you should check it out. You know what I did with the stock, I put it in the garbage.

Yeah, it's called an expression for overdoing something that was just fine to begin with. And the wooden police stock sets I found were at least $70/ea, and considering you paid $170 for it I'd say you messed up. But you'll at least look uber cool if you ever play real life Counter Strike

Video game probably, but I'm not 12 so I don't play video games. Thanks for your opinion and assumptions.
