I believe that they're both much further along, responsibility-wise, than most of their non-shooting little friends. Here's one of her I took during a ceasefire at the MarylandShooters.com Fall Shoot last Sunday. I have no pictures of her shooting, though, as I was too busy watching over her on the line (she has much less formal range time than her brother). 
Her boredom and displeasure are quite obvious, are they not LOL. She really enjoyed my 10/22, my Systema 27 with a Ceiner .22 conversion, the M1 Carbine, and my Mom's .22 Colt Peacemaker. She said she'd need more trigger time to get used the the AR-15 and was petrified to even try the M1 Garand (I don't blame her, though - she's a little thing. 4'9" and weighs in at 85-lbs). Her brother is considerably larger and handles the big stuff just fine: 
All of her male classmates are impressed and infatuated, but also a bit intimidated at the same time. That's a good thing, I reckon

Preach on, Brother! Wife and I have raised our kids using a near forgotten concept (compared to the way some of friends are raising their kids) called "common sense." Our kids naturally gravitate towards the conservative end of the spectrum because we've gone out of our way to show that 2 plus 2 actually equals 4. Not 5, not 3, not a trophy just for showing up, etc..
As a parent I, naturally, love my kids, But I also like them as well - they're great people. My Wife and I don't really know what we're doing, but whatever it is, it seems to be working

her shooting my PSL 
At the Langhorne 2009 Zombie shoot after putting about 90 rounds through my rifle in a few minutes, notice the smoke off the barrel... it rained all day that day lol 
Same zombie shoot, pistol stage... her favorite is a 1911 which she is shooting there 
her with my 870 and some apparel we bought at the valley forge gun show 
I am lucky she enjoys shooting so much :) |

Range master took a immediate interest in her since she got on paper first shot :)
