Tons of good guys leaving the game this season too.
Wright, VMart, Pence. Probably Beltre and Mauer. It's possible we don't see CC, Colon, and King Felix next year either. Of the 4 teams named by the MLBPA for "tanking" (MIA, PIT, OAK, TB) 3 have finished with a winning record. 1 is in the playoffs. For the first time ever, there will be 2 Game 163's in the same season. For the first time ever, there was more Ks than hits. This was a weird season. |

All in all, it was a fine season. Now comes a month of playoffs, the World Series, and then three and a half months of waiting for our team's Truck Day to let us know that winter is almost over. Im alrready looking forward to going to PNC next year. Dont be surprised if I show up in a Joey Cora jersey. Im serious.

Beltre hasn’t announced anything, but it sure felt like a going away party.
I hope not because he has a couple of top notch years left. Maybe at DH, but he can still play at a high level. |

If the Cubs handled their business the Brewers would not of tied them. The Cub fans tears and gnashing teeth is a bonus. Brewers went from crap to playoffs in 1.5 years. So much for the usual 3-5 year rebuilding after selling off 95% of the team for prospects. Any wins in the post season is icing on the cake for Brewer fans at this point, we're even getting a home playoff game no matter what happens tomorrow.
