I'm not so sure.

I'd hate for some guy to sell a gun on a ftf transaction, only to later have the buyer use them to kill someone and the seller get charged.

She needs to be punished, but it needs to be done in a way that can't be used to harm someone who doesn't willingly arm a felon.

Supposedly, she knew he was a felon and couldn't own them.

That change things?

There is zero legal grounds for that.

Not really. She didn't pull the trigger, he (probably) didn't tell her he was going to go on a mass shooting if she gave him the guns. She should be punished, but not in such a way that it opens up other people to being persecuted by an over zealous prosecutor in the future. Knee jerk reactions always have unintended consequences.

I was absolutely stunned that the media did not run with it from the minute it started yesterday.
Every other event like this gets balls to the wall coverage. I guess people are correct in that it did not
fit the medias narrative.

Of course Obama spewed his regular line, as if any law he proposed would have stopped it.

Well it was home to BTK.  He killed his last victim in Park City, where he worked as a compliance officer but it wasn't tied to him until he felt the need to taunt the cops again. He strangled her and then ate a bowl of cereal. My friend used to live in that house and it was kind of eery looking at the crime scene photos.

Me too, my nephews 5 yrs old and is a VERY smart kid. He WILL be a mechanic / engineer or construction worker, I garentee it. His favorite "toy" is my 20v impact, and he's ALWAYS into whatever im doing.

you do not need to even know each others Names in a f2f trade in KS, as long as you don't KNOWLING sell to a prohibbited person. Due to the how the law is written, I am afraid they are gonna go after it pretty hard just to set an example.

As for crazies in Wichita, as I mentioned on page 3 or 4..
This guy,
BTK (Nancy fox was basically a neice. Still very good friends with the foxes.)
Carr brothers,
There was a sniper in the late 70s above Centry II (forget the name of the building he was in, white building to the north, purple lights),
The Herman hill riots..

Eta: Aug 11, 1976. What was then holiday inn, and is now the Garvey center.

Yeah, there's a law against that. Convictede felons can't own firearms. She went all straw purchaser anyways....

Your FTF transaction worrisome is troubling (if you are unaware of the ineligibility of the buyer). IT's chattel property. You can't be the conscience of the world. What if you sold a car to a guy that the very next week killed someone driving while drunk? Would you guilt over that?

It's highly unlikely she didn't know the guy was a felon.  By highly unlikely, I mean not a chance in the world.  She gives him guns, he murders people, your overzealous DA is going to trot out "accessory before the fact" along with the federal transfer crime.

I don't know about KS, but I do know that Florida considers everybody involved in a crime to be equally guilty.  I remember back when I lived there they charged a guy with capital murder because the guy he was with capped a convenience store clerk and he was the getaway driver.  Never had a gun (so far as anybody knew) never went inside.

As bad as it is in what she did I think we are still a step removed from the driving the get away car thing.  She may have given him the gun knowing he was a thug but may have figured he just wanted it for protection.  I doubt she figured he would go out and just start shooting people randomly.  I'm not seeing how capital murder is in her future.

Mennos are the monkey wrench in the theory that we wouldn't have all this socialist big government progressivism if we were all white Christians the way God intended- usually lily white, in a lot of ways old fashioned, and yet many have been granola crunchy since at least the 70s.

Of course, there are others who are more conservative, but they tend to also think women really should be pregnant and in the kitchen, so there's not a lot of middle ground there.  I think it's likely that the first group can attribute its existence to a reaction to the second group.

A woman, 74, who could have been Kansas shooter Cedric Ford's first victim stopped him from carjacking her and survived

A 74-year-old woman stood up to Kansas shooter Cedric Ford before he shot 15 people and killed three — and narrowly survived.

Edna Decker, 74, could have become Ford’s first victim when she was driving out of Newton, Kan., at around 4:45 pm Thursday.

Ford pulled his car up in front of her and stopped, causing the woman to slam on her brakes to avoid hitting him, she told local network KWCH.
View Quote

The 38-year-old shooter jumped out of the car with a large gun in hand that Decker later described as looking “like a machine gun.”

Ford aimed the gun at Decker in an attempt to steal her Rav 4 SUV, but Decker steeled herself instead, telling the gun-toting menace she didn’t want to get out of her car.
View Quote

Decker ducked as Ford was about to fire and narrowly missed getting hit by a bullet that crashed through her driver’s side window and out the back passenger window, KWCH reported.
View Quote

Decker said Ford was reloading his gun to fire again when traffic thwarted his efforts — the shooter moved on to another car that he stole to drive to his workplace, Excel Industries.

Motive Emerges --- My BLM Feels

He didn’t like how people treated him, being a minority,” Jarrell said Friday. Ford was African-American and a transplant to Kansas, where he lived and worked in a predominantly white, small town.

thats not BLM.

When you are the only anything in a town, its a pain in the ass.  Being a minority does put stress on you.  Not an excuse, and doesn't mean he was into hunting cops.

No, he just hunted white victims.

Bullshit. One of the deaths was a black ladie. The testimony of one of the victims shot, says he ran into the shooter, the shooter made eye contact, victim told him run, shooter said "I know", took fire, hesitated as he recognized the guy, and fired. He was shooting, indiscriminatly, at EVERYBODY, including people he hung out with.

I've met the shooter, he was NOT into the BLM bs. Most of the people he hung out with in KS, we're white.

I just spoke to a relative of mine, who was working there at the time of the shooting.

He is OK, but very shaken. He has been asking around for information on a CCW and someone referred me. I didn't even know he moved out of state, so I had no clue that he worked there.

He ran outside when the shooting started with no coat, no keys, no cell phone. They won't let anyone in until the area is cleared so he has no truck, had to buy a new coat, and borrowing a phone.

He said the guy was new, and didn't talk much. He had never had a conversation with him, and the guy didn't come off as crazy or anything.

Something important that he stressed: Their call for active shooter over the intercom system was to say "Fire, fire, fire." No, I'm not kidding.

The combo of popping noises (gunshots) and the intercom call was very confusing. A lot of people wanted to see what the hell was on fire that was making that noise.

This caused a lot of people to run toward the gunfire and likely increased the body count.

If there is any more pertinent information he can give I will relay it.

Check out the number stories about the Uber driver Jason Dalton who shot 8 people versus this Cedric Ford who shot 27.

No comparison.

Google News: Jason Dalton - 1,800,000 results

Google News: Cedric Ford - 35,000 results

why?

One happened yesterday, the other six days ago.

I don't think that is it

Here we are three days after this incident, and Cedric Ford now has 1, 960,000 search results on Google News.  Half the time, more hits.  There goes the theory of the media suppressing stories about a black mass shooter.

umm....sorry but google searches do not equate to MSM coverage.

The simple fact is that if you pay attention to these events you will see that incidents with a black mass shooter tend to have a shorter media coverage life span.

Hesston Police Chief Doug Schroeder was the cop who took this fucker out. Knowing the passive aggressive mindset of the assholes in Harvey county (if you're not Mennonite, Amish or your family hasn't resided there for 7 generations you ain't shit) the town will likely award him a medal under his pink slip for excessive force to quell the screaming lib SJW's at Hesston and Bethel colleges  along with the Mennonite Central Committee Headquarters.

Riley or Leavenworth, but I know no one who complains too much about a Leavenworth assignment.

The whole "pious pacifist" schtick these fuckers put off is such bullshit I could fertilize the roses with it. Mennonite men can look like dirtbag redneck hayseeds all day long but if their women don't look like something out of the 1880's they're going to hell or something. LAst winter ran into one family at the store who had been out working cattle, wive and daughters were all in jeans, boots and carharts while wearing the prairies dresses like smocks over it all. The fuck was the point of that? They talk up a game of pacifism and gun control all the time having me outgunned and ammo forts that are an arfcom neckbeard's masturbation fantasy.

Don't even get me started on the Amish I've got around here.

Never had a gun (so far as anybody knew) never went inside.

methinks she should be charged with capitol murder.

I'm not so sure.

I'd hate for some guy to sell a gun on a ftf transaction, only to later have the buyer use them to kill someone and the seller get charged.

She needs to be punished, but it needs to be done in a way that can't be used to harm someone who doesn't willingly arm a felon.

What you are thinking of is the Felony Murder rule which is where if you are involved in a felony and someone gets killed, then everyone is guilty of murder.  In the case with the getaway car driver, he was part of the robbery, even if he didn't go inside, therefore he is part of the clerk's murder.

In the case here where the girlfriend supplied the shooter his gun, her crime was supplying a gun to a felon, and unless you could show she knew or should have known he was going on a killing spree, she wasn't part of the murders.

In fact, to show she is guilty of transferring a gun to a felon they are going to need to show she knew or should have known he was a felon.  I figure she is going to claim that he stole the guns from her and she didn't know they were gone, which is why she didn't report it.
