Roy Moore is only going to win because the Elite tanked Mo Brookes. If they weren't so stupid and attacked everyone to try and push through Strange then they wouldn't be forced to deal with Moore. Moore will win with 10% more of the vote. Everything I'm hearing from people is they're not happy about the outsiders trying to influence Bama politics.
And Leland is still get dumped on by his listeners and he still can't figure it out. |

By Joyce White Vance, former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama Roy Moore is committed to a culture that believes women are not men's equals. He supports the view that women should not be permitted to run for office and that when they do, people have a moral obligation to vote against them. We know this is true because it's all in writing, in a study course he developed and promoted with other like-minded men. It was still available for sale, online, this week. Everyone, including Moore, is entitled to their own religious beliefs in this country. But they aren't entitled to impose them on others. Moore's history suggests that if he wins the race to be Alabama's next Senator, he'll do exactly that. And, women will be the losers if he wins. Their rights will have to give way to Moore's beliefs. In Roy Moore's vision of Alabama, it's acceptable for 32-year old men to date young teen girls, as long as their father's permission is obtained first. Moore's views consistently suggest that men are entitled to control women; how they are schooled, who they date, what if any jobs they can hold, what their reproductive choices are. If Roy Moore wins, over the voices of brave women who came forward with credible allegations of sexual abuse and harassment when they were in their teens, it will be because he convinces Alabama voters that women who come forward to report sex crimes and harassment should not be believed over a man who denies it. Moore's spokesperson said in an interview on Birmingham's WBRC that to prove the allegations against Moore, "you have to have a witness." But there isn't a witness when a man takes a 14-year old girl to his home, removes her clothing down to her underwear, and assaults her. In Roy Moore's Alabama, the man is always believed. Women are liars. Always. They don't count. Some have suggested it's worth holding your nose and voting for Moore because he's against abortion in all cases. The issues surrounding abortion are difficult and important to many Alabamians. Voters will have to decide for themselves if Moore's stance on an issue that is already decided and will not be changed in the Senate is worth the price of having him as our Senator. As Senator, he will have a platform for furthering his agenda of relegating women, and particularly women in Alabama, to second class citizenship. If we elect Moore, we're responsible for him. Roy Moore's Alabama will be a world that is hostile to our daughters and to their hopes and dreams. I will tell my daughter, who is at college out of state, to not come home. And that's probably just what Roy Moore wants - a world without strong women who object to mistreatment and control. As women across the country begin to shake off years of fear and publicly tell stories of harassment and abuse, will Alabama be the last refuge for men who treat women like possessions? Will women continue to live in fear here because men like Moore decide they shouldn't be believed? Alabama now stands in sharp contrast to the rest of the country where credible allegations of harassment are taken seriously and women making them are treated with respect. It's up to the voters to respond to Moore and tell him women have come too far to fall back into unequal status. We no longer have to give into Moore, like frightened teenage girls did in the 1970s, because he was powerful and they weren't. No one gets to control who you vote for when you're inside of the voting booth. You get to vote your conscience. I hope we all will, come a week from Tuesday. http://www.al.com/opinion/index.ssf/2017/12/how_will_women_respond_to_roy.html#incart_river_home View Quote |

The latest poll in the Alabama Senate race has Roy Moore up by 7 points over Democratic challenger Doug Jones.
The Raycom News Network/Strategy Research statewide telephone poll of 3,200 likely Alabama voters showed 50 percent said they would vote for Moore if the election were held today compared to 43 percent who said the same for Jones. Four percent were undecided; 3 percent indicate they plan to write-in a candidate. Three of every four responders who identified as Republican said they would vote for Moore with 12 percent of likely GOP voters saying they would cast a ballot for Jones. Eighty-seven percent of Democrats said they would vote for Jones. The election is Dec. 12. Polling in the election has shown a tight race, with a previous survey taken the day before showing Jones up by 4 points. Poll average shows Moore with slight lead According to RealClearPolitics' polling average, Moore leads Jones by about 2.3 points. Moore enjoyed a lead of as high as 22 points in September, two months before the Washington Post's report alleging Moore had improper sexual contact with teenage girls in the 1970s. Moore has denied the allegations but they led to calls for the former Alabama Chief Justice to drop out of the race. http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/12/roy_moore_vs_doug_jones_latest_1.html#incart_m-rpt-2 |

Roy Moore's campaign calls an ad run by a political action committee opposing him "patently false" and issued cease and desist letters demanding that TV stations stop running it.
The PAC, called Highway 31, was formed to support the candidacy of Moore's opponent, Doug Jones. The ad says, "Moore was actually banned from the Gadsden Mall ... for soliciting sex from young girls." The Moore campaign has previously disputed allegations against him, including reports that Moore was banned from the mall. The Moore campaign says the statement in the Highway 31 ad about "soliciting sex" is a new false allegation. "Furthermore the truth is that Moore never solicited sex from young girls at the Gadsden Mall and no such false allegation has been alleged by anyone," the Moore campaign said today in a press release. http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/12/roy_moore_campaign_says_highwa.html#incart_m-rpt-2 |

An ad opposing Roy Moore's bid for the U.S. Senate has been removed from You Tube and other digital platforms because it was misleading and confusing to voters, according to the state's top elections official.
Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill said the ad - which suggested that a record of how citizens voted in next week's Senate election would be kept on file - has been removed after discussions between his office and Google, the parent company for You Tube. The ad was removed by Google at the request of Merrill's office, he said in a statement released Wednesday night. The ad was produced by Highway 31, a new Alabama-based political action committee working to help Democrat Doug Jones win Tuesday's election. Merrill said Tuesday he had received complaints about the ad "from several sources" and that his office had contacted Highway 31 to "express the misrepresentations presented in this political commercial." Highway 31 responded by saying they would not remove the misleading information from the ad, according to Merrill. http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/12/anti-roy_moore_ad_removed_from.html |

Highway 31 is apparently run by Actblue. A democrat pac group that is from I'm told a pro-abortion front.
ActBlue is a United States political action committee established in June 2004 that enables anyone to raise money on the Internet for the Democratic Party candidates of their choice. It is independent of the Democratic Party itself and does not endorse individual candidates. ActBlue has grown quickly to become a major fundraising tool for Democrats, with over 445 federal candidates and committees using the service during the 2014 election cycle.[1] As of April 2016, ActBlue had raised more than $1.1 billion for Democratic candidates and progressive organizations at various levels of politics, making it the largest single source of funds in United States politics. The organization is open to all registered Democratic campaigns, candidates and 501(c)(4) organizations. ActBlue is a not-for-profit organization. ActBlue officially incurs costs of 3.95% of the gross contribution, and those fees are passed on to campaigns. History[edit] ActBlue was founded in 2004 by Benjamin Rahn, who left a doctoral program in theoretical physics at Caltech to develop the platform, and Matt DeBergalis, a computer science graduate of MIT.[2] On April Fools' Day 2008, ActBlue jokingly announced that it would begin collecting funds for US candidates in Euros, due to the decline of the US dollar.[3] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ActBlue |

Just because you're born and bred in the Great White North doesn't mean you can't be a Southerner in heart and principle. Have you ever read about the carpetbaggers? They were asshole fucks...........there was little U.S. currency, etc., in the South right after the War...........so those fucks went down there and literally ROBBED people of their assets so the Southerners could at least get some U.S. money in their pockets, etc., etc., etc. for all types of situations where Southerners were hurting money wise, food wise, etc., etc., etc..................etc. They were over a serious monetary barrel, etc., down South and those carpetbaggers took full advantage of it. Some of them were SO BAD they would have made Al Capone and General Sherman blush for god's sake. One anecdotal one that I remember as being totally horrible was one guy came back from the war to his large farm and needed cash to buy feed, seeds, lumber, etc., to get his farm going again.............well a carpetbagger was going to sell him that stuff but at HUGELY INFLATED prices that the man could not afford.............the man had a younger family and had to sell the farm to the carpetbagger as a result. And you know what he got........about 10 cents on the dollar for what that large farm was actually worth. That guy and his family were never heard from again and what happened to them is unknown and lost to antiquity. Horribly cruel people.............should have been rounded up and summarily executed IMHO. |
