Both Parties fleece the public. The GOP is in the pocket of one class of crook and the Dems in the other. Both see us as peasant serfs to be worked in their fiefdoms. Both Parties are also in a state of change. The Dems are becoming Openly Socialist and the GOP is becoming the party of Crony Capitalism. Originally, the Dems were the party of Cronyism and Fleecing. Look at the Clintons as a prime example. But their days are over. In the GOP, the Bushes were that. But now the GOP is in a state of flux due tonthe constant shifting of the window by Trump. Originally, the GOP was simply becoming the home to former Southern Dixiecrats. But right now, Trump threw a wrench in that and we are fighting a war between the Swamp and Constitutionallsts. The Dems are fighting theirs after they saw the rigged game with Clinton and the blockage of Bernie Saunders.

But in the end, neither side cares about freedom, liberty, and true equality under the principles this nation was founded upon. Both parties will gladly weigh us down in chains. It just becomes what weight donwe want.

One party can be used as a vehicle to propel pro-constitution, freedom loving Americans to power but has its fill of corrupt assholes.

The other party is too busy sucking the dick Karl Marx's ghost when they aren't trying to out right steal my property and my liberty.

Apart from that, I more or less agree with your analysis.   We as a people have a lot of work to do.

The GOP is becoming what the Democrats once were. Constitutionalists are an outlier to the GOP. Hence why the Swamp is trying everything in its power to stop Trump.

The GOP stopped a coup once when it took over the TEA Party Movement. Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan were TEA Party darlings remember. They tried to do the same with Trump and failed.

When you have poverty caused by socialist policies. The people never correct it 9 out of 10 times because it is culturally entrenched and is multiple generation. When a political figure says the key solve the problem is for everyone to get a job and cut welfare. That doesn't go far. When a politician says that more free shit will fix the problem. That wins votes.

Santa Claus is hard to beat.

The GOP has always had a struggle just as the democrats have always been torn between their regional subgroups.

With that said, show me an originalist on the SCOTUS.   Now show me an originalist on the SCOTUS appointed by a democrat.

You are right to point out the corruption in the Republican party.    There's plenty of rot to go around as are there plenty of progressive Republicans and democrats who ran as Republicans to secure office.

With that said, there are far more people working from within the GOP to right the ship then many people realize.

Lots of people are buying into her line of shit, the same as the Bernie line of shit.

I do not think it will fly at  a national level, but we could easily have 1 or 2 loony ass senators like her by the 2020 election.

In House we could have 20 of them.

Bang on the nose and everyone here would do well to understand it.

You have to take the fight to any and all moderates you know, convince them they are extreme positions and that they never end well. Do it politely with verifiable facts and you have a shot at beating these horrible ideas.

There already are 4-5 loonies like her in the senate (Sanders, Gillibrand, duckworth, Baldwin, to name a few)

It won’t fly on the national level right now, but a bad economy will change the calculus substantially.

The GOP didn't hate the New Deal. It hated FDR for running it. Rockefeller was a big fan of it and laid the groundwork for the "Compassionate Conservative" like the Bushes, McCain, etc.

Yes because Progressives had infiltrated BOTH parties starting in the mid-to-late 19th century and came into their own in the early 20th century with FDR as the apex (remember the Bull Moose Party?).
Construction on the Hoover Dam started roughly in 1931.   FDR did not take office until 1933.    FDR ran for office opposing Hoover's policies and then, once elected, took Hoover's policies and ramped them into overdrive.

If your point is to say there are shitty Republicans, I am right there with you.   With that said, there is something salvageable in the Republican party.

The democrats are beyond repair.
