DOJ has gone full 'tard.  It has become a total rogue agency with no real checks.

Too bad there was never a mechanism in place in our constitution to prevent this.

There is - Congress can impeach and/or defund.
The fact that they refuse too means they are complicit.  The founding fathers told us how to deal with that too.

If you're correct that result won't exactly have state level politicians elsewhere lining up to follow his example, will it?

North Carolina turned down the expanded Medicare.  We also turned down the additional unemployment AND paid back almost $2 billion in debt to fedgov.

Of course, we had to raise taxes and cut spending to do this.  It's what I am expecting our current governor to lose his re-election bid.

If you're correct that result won't exactly have state level politicians elsewhere lining up to follow his example, will it?

No, it won't.

IMO, the FSA have won.  The Republic is dead.  We are witnessing it's final gasps in front of our faces.

And soon it will be time for the vultures to pick over its carcass.

A country with the name The Unitsed States of America will exist, just like other countries around the world have completely changed their political structures and yet have the same name.

What is already dead is the Republic.

The people of the United States didn't want to put criminals in power. They don't even know the laws. Or the history. Or the reasoning.

They certainly will never learn of leftist criminality, either.

Are you suggesting it was a secret that Chicago power brokers are criminals?

Yes. For most of America, it is.

No it isn't.  Chicago is synonymous with corruption and has been for as long as I've known anything about anything.

Absolutely. But, as you said, you know something about something. Can you imagine how many people - in this city alone -  know absolutely nothing about our system?

This is a nation of illiterates and the purposely maleducated. They do not know the laws, the history, the system or the reasoning behind it. They didn't know that Obama or his ilk are criminals. How could they? The left controls the media, the education system, etc. and the hard left doesn't think Obama is a criminal. They think the free market is.

You represent the real minority in this country.

Seriously.  There a fucking urban dictionary entry for it.

Everyone knows this.  Everyone.  They just didn't care, because they wanted to elect a socialist because he was cool and trendy.

Anyone who thinks that citizens will not be rounded up and imprisoned for political purposes, similar to Cuba...similar to Communist Russia....similar to North Korea....similar to Saddams Iraq.....similar to Nazi Germany, are in complete and total denial.

It will eventually happen. We headed that way at break neck speed.

Sometimes it IS an appropiate analogy.

What the left is doing is in many ways similar.

Dividing the nation...creating a bogey-man....stripping rights.

Sometimes it's the right analogy.

I remember reading an article about a Sheriff that told the Dept of Agriculture and/or EPA that they would be arrested for their continued harassment against a local farmer in his county.

Guess what? The Feds stopped contacting that farmer and dragging him back into court for the millionth time.

That's why I keep saying that LEO's and the military are going to eventually be our ONLY hope if this left wing lunacy continues for much longer.

The deciding factor in this scenario is how many of these are left wing.

The Constitution doesn't allow the military to have anything to do with this.  Elect who you want, don't expect us to save you from your own stupidity.

That's bullshit.  They can, they're just too lazy, venal, and stupid to do it.  They can write and pass a law disestablishing any individual gov agency.  They can override the veto.  They won't.

It's not just the DOJ, it is every agency run by an Obama appointee.  Nasa no longer does space travel but Muslim outreach.  EPA now creates new regulations to take down coal and to make business much more expensive.  Department of Education has brainwashed a generation that man made global warming is real and that socialism is better than our republic founded by racists and criminals.

I asked my representative (congressman) how they could reign in the agencies that they created and gave all this power to.  Congress no longer makes laws, they gave that authority to the agencies to make regulations and rules that come down from the political leanings of the president and his appointees.  My congressman said that they have no mechanism to control the agencies except funding and that (under Boener) he refused to allow funding to even come up for debate.  Even if the house did debate or pass something, the president didn't sign a budget for 6 years, but instead ran under Continuing Resolutions.  So where is our representation in this government?

Your first statement belies the second.

They can fix it.  The people won't elect representation who will.  We are represented, as the Constitution demands.  The problem is that the people of this country want socialism and big government.  They've been fairly clear about this over the last couple of election cycles.

Update to the story;

In Light of DOJ Malfeasance, EAC Seeks Outside Counsel in Noncitizen-Voting Case

McCormick has asked Attorney General Lynch to approve a special counsel to represent the EAC under 28 U.S.C. § 514, which provides that the “head of an executive department or agency” can request “the service of counsel” from the attorney general when an agency head — such as McCormick — “is of the opinion that the interests of the United States require the service of counsel. . . . ”

The question is will Loretta Lynch approve?

At this point the states should do what they want and simply ignore DOJ

If Colorado and Washington can do it for the weed, anyone should be able to do it for anyone.

The federal government is lawless; the states should reciprocate.

WITHOUT QUESTION!!

That's what is coming. There will eventually be an affront to liberty and state sovereignty so egregious that "X" number of states will not comply (an order to disarm the citizenry would be on example). The Feds will send heavily armed goon squads with armored vehicles and mobile "command posts" to enforce compliance, and that's when the shit will hit the fan. How much "shit" and how big the "fan" remains to be seen.

That particular writing on the proverbial wall has been obvious for a long, long time. There are quite a number of people here at ARfcom who have been warning of that very thing for years. Generally this is met by derisive comments about people wearing tupperware on their heads or some other such idiot shit.

An Extraordinary Beat-Down for the DOJ

I attended a hearing on Monday afternoon before District of Columbia federal district court Judge Richard J. Leon that was one of the most "extraordinary” federal court hearings I have ever attended, to use Judge Leon’s description of the case. The hearing was over the temporary restraining order (TRO) and preliminary injunction (PI) being sought by the League of Women Voters and a host of other leftist groups to stop the recent decision of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to allow Kansas, Georgia, Alabama, and Arizona to enforce their proof-of-citizenship voter-registration requirement.

This morning, as I predicted would happen in an article on Sunday, the U.S. Justice Department took a dive and filed a pleading in which it not only failed to defend the actions of the EAC, but agreed with the plaintiffs and consented to both a TRO and a PI. Judge Leon called the pleading "unprecedented” and "extraordinary.” He said he had never seen such a document in his entire experience as a lawyer or a judge.

***

The judge opened the hearing by reading into the record an astonishing letter he had just received from the chair of the EAC, Christie McCormick. It informed the court that DOJ had told the EAC that it would not defend the agency, and that it would not allow the EAC to hire its own counsel.

I think it shows the blatant  in your face "unprecedented” and "extraordinary" orchestrated undermining the of sovereignty of America  by a enemy from within.

I am of the opinion that we have to stop thinking of these people that do this as Americans they are about as American as an ISIS member, both want to destroy America as we know it, the only difference is the means.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.
