Lets See. FBI Knew before hand about the Ft. Hood Shooter FBI Knew about the Boston Bombers FBI Knew about the San Bardino Shooter FBI Knew about the Texas Shooters and there was an Agent with them during the attack. FBI Knew about the Florida Night Club Shooter Justice Dept. stated during Hearings that there was no evidence of Russian Interference as did the FBI. Comey has stated that he didn't recommend charges against Clinton due to the lack of "Intent" , that's not his FUCKING JOB , his job was to investigate and turn over Facts. Not Grand Stand in front of the Media. Don't forget the allowing of Clinton Understudies to destroy their laptops with hammers. He should have been fired after every single incident to set an example to do your job as you swore an oath to do. View Quote And BTW, intent is not an element of the crime the bitch committed, so he also usurped the authority of Congress as well as that of the DOJ. |

Well Trump did not fire Comey because Coney was unfair to Clinton. First, Trump publicly praised Comey for that, and second he would have done that a long time ago. And the admin is lying both about that and whether the Rosenstein memo was why Trump fired Comey.
So they're lying and the basis is not what they claim. Whatever the real reason is, it isn't good for Trump or they'd just say whatever the real reason is. Comey did screw up a bunch of stuff, but he should've been fired in January |

The latest from one of the douche bag congress critters on the left is that Trump fired Sally Yates not because she would not defend the Presidents EO on Travel but because she was getting close to his connections with Russia.

No, because firing Comey wouldn't achieve the putative goal of burying the investigation. It wouldn't work.
If there were a smoking gun uncovered by "the investigation", that smoking gun would be at the top of every news outlet as I type. |

My bad I should have known. The guys name is Rod J Rosenstein. "Although the President has the power to remove an FBI director, the decision should not be taken lightly. I agree with the nearly unanimous opinions of former Department officials. The way the Director handled the conclusion of the email investigation was wrong. As a result, the FBI is unlikely to regain public and congressional trust until it has a Director who understands the gravity of the mistakes and pledges never to repeat them. Having refused to admit his errors, the Director cannot be expected to implement the necessary corrective actions." Sounds like a recommendation of termination to me. The propaganda line has been established. It must be followed. |

A new day...most likely a new excuse from the White House about why they fired Comey...
|

No.
If there were, it would have been leaked to the press months ago. That's how this town works. Economy of force. Resignation over prosecution, public contrition, and get on the board of a few companies, usually. |

The issue isn't necessarily with the firing of Comey. You're right that any investigation(s) will continue on cruise-control with an acting Director. The potential for real obstruction of justice comes with the appointment of a new Director. If it's someone who has a good bipartisan (or non-partisan) reputation in DC and has a strong legal and/or law enforcement background then I think you'll see a lot of worries become assuaged. On the other hand, if you see some political hack like Giuliani or Christie come running back to DC with their shine box... |

From Trump's interview with Lester Holt yesterday:
LESTER HOLT: Because you letter you said I—I, I accepted their recommendation, so you had already made the decision.
DONALD TRUMP: Oh I was gonna fire regardless of recommendation. LESTER HOLT: So there was [OVER TALK] DONALD TRUMP: He made—he made a recommendation, he's highly respected, very good guy, very smart guy, uh the Democrats like him, the Republicans like him, uh he made a recommendation but regardless of recommendation I was going to fire Comey knowing, there was no good time to do it.
