Found these the other day when I was looking for rattlesnakes. Left them there but took a pic to show a friend who eats mushrooms.
No idea if it's true or he's right but he said they look like "big laughing jim"-mildly toxic and cause fits of uncontrollable laughter. Attached File |

If you know where there are pecan trees... only edible mushrooms will grow on rotten pecan wood.

Assuming you aren't being silly, a variety of Amanita muscaria. Better to let the reindeer eat them and collect their pee.

Quoted: Your friend should not be eating anything with gills, ever. Not even a little close, and I bet they don't have gills. Assuming those are on that wood, and don't even have gills underneatn, try Tyromyces chioneus or Oligoporus ceasius (similar but stains blue). Fuck all mushrooms right in their face. Who eats that gross dead non-plant shit, let alone pick up wild unknown possibly poisonous shit and eat it. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I’d rather hug and kiss some poisonous snakes, at least I know what I’m dealing with. That’s like eating the meteor shit from Creepshow or something. Fuck all that
