She can't fucking walk.  She has finals coming up.  She's supposed to start a brand new job.  And, she still won't be walking.  And, she's looking at lifelong injuries, injuries that generally lead to arthritis way sooner than it should ever happen, regardless of how well her near term recovery may be.  And, then a whole bunch of asshole go after her and her friends on the internet, at school, et cetera.

No, I have an inkling how that must feel. I also understand that telling the internet to stop is a futile gesture and you have to come to terms with that and move on. She's lucky that she wasn't ejected from a vehicle and made into a gif.
For whatever reason, most people can watch personal tragedy or humiliation on a screen and completely dehumanize the individual in question. If they were to see it in person, they would be horrified and have a completely different reaction. I'm sure that's similar to Romans watching games and such.

No. I've been in a similar situation minus the national attention. I lost at least 70lbs because I couldn't afford to eat during the whole thing. I made it one of the best times of my life. She is being a baby about the whole deal.
