@Wodstock  Can you confirm?

Most stuff at Aldi is good.  The lettuce and tomatoes are better than the ones in Wegmans.

Guess I've never found the terrible stuff.  Oh, their little bottles of fancy salad dressing... House Vinaigrette, Greek Vinaigrette, etc... Black labels... holy shit, that's all I'll use now.  Milk, eggs, coffee creamer, fake slim jims, fake pringles, salsa con queso, salsa, lunch meats, burgers, kielbasa (or the beef ring), cheese, bread, peppers, soups, pasta sauce, ketchup, mayo, mustard... We usually hit there first, and only go to another store if they're out, or don't carry something.  They're the cheapest around for most stuff.

We've got so much alcohol, and I drink so little.  Wodstock usually has a drink most nights.  I just don't have the urge.  We even have a brewery and distillery in town.

Around here their produce is pretty sketchy.  And their baked goods are meh.

But all things considered they're pretty good and significantly cheaper than other stores.

A few years ago my parents were visiting and my dad and I ran to Aldi for some stuff.  They were pretty busy so the store manager came out and manned a register to clear out the checkout lanes.  My dad was so impressed he still talks about that.

Boomers are easy to impress, I guess

Notice also how the turret is cast but the front hull has steep angles. They are solving the same problem with two different production methods

Most recently sold some Glocks, the 20" AR, the PSA AR9 pistol, a stoeger cougar, a Mossberg 590, a cabela's Hawkin .58, and my last SKS, maybe forgetting something, in order to upgrade my hiking gear, buy my NX8, my PVS-14, TLR-VIR II, and an opscore bump.

That and a new scope for my cola rifle are the next two things I buy.

All this tank talk has reminded me of how much I used to be into the subject of tanks. I decided to pick up a book on the Patton series because it was our modern version of the Sherman, and even I don't understand why we had 96 different tank designs all called Patton

This guy is supposed to be really good (Better than Zaloga, from what I have seen said)

And I think one of my platoon sergeants had this book back in the 90s so I grabbed a copy as well. It's all about how the tracks and automotive components work, why tracks vs wheels, how transmissions work in vehicles this heavy etc. Pretty neat sh*t I must say
