Military camo only or are they sending you to the gulag for duck blind reeds and rushes?

Aruba has the same law.
When visiting other countries it is wise to check that countries tourism website to check for do's and don'ts. |

Do you get a coupon for the mullet haircut with the purchase of camo shorts or is it the other way around?

I have travelled to the Bahamas dozens of times, never knew that but it checks out. Jamaica Antigua, St.Vincent and others too. Again been there many times and never knew. I don’t really wear a lot of camo stuff but I’m sure I’ve packed some camo shorts or something at some time.
I will say that in these places you will see plenty of young men wearing all manner of camouflage shirts, pants and hats so I don’t know how widely it’s enforced. Like most of their “justice” system, I’m sure it’s selectively used as a club against your political enemies. You know, to punish agitators who question official election results or to prosecute the opposition presidential candidate. Third world shit. Bob Marley wrote a song about it; “Who The Cap Fit, Let them Wear It” |

I literally just looked up which countries had laws against camo yesterday because my sister bought me a Rush24 in multicam a year or two back. I like it enough that I'm thinking about getting a gray one too.

Yes it’s a law and yes it is occasionally enforced. As with all things turd world it depends where you are and what you’re doing. They’ll hassle the locals but generally leave tourists alone. If you get stopped as a tourist by the BDF for wearing camo shorts on the pier or near the market in Nassau they’re just shaking you down. Bimini won’t care. Grand Bahama has some legit gangs that this kind of law is made for. The outer islands (the real Bahamas) won’t even notice. Backpacks are fairly common. Clothing is much less so. They did a bit more dictatorial around COVID and afterwards for a while.

Can confirm. There’s a few islands in the Caribbean that have this law. It’s akin to no face coverings in some southern states.
I think Grenada is another one that’s the same. Used to get in country briefs before leaving the ship on port calls. |

Quoted: I wonder if it’s particular camp pattern and colors? I mean if you have a Huk or Pelagic UV shirt with light blue digi camo pattern is that considered illegal? https://pelagicgear.com/cdn/shop/products/1018221001-LGY-1.jpg?v=1650471147 View Quote yes, had to change out of fish camo shorts at airport, elsewhere no one else really cared though |

Having been to the Bahamas many times, I’m trying to get my head around an elevated crime level that would be described as a “surge”. The Bahamas have always been a cesspool of villainy.
