Uncle Sam paid me to wear that shit for eight years. That was enough for me. If I'm not trying to kill something, I have no desire to wear camo.

What kind of hillbilly thought pattern would lead one to own camo shorts, much less wear them on vacation?
Sorry your garment lost.

For real man. What bubble do you "camo is ick" people live in??

I have plenty of camo clothing, it gets worn hunting, and a little for other outdoor activities around the farm.

I don't own camo shorts, because my legs being exposed would defeat the entire point.

Assuming there's maybe a use for camo shorts in Southern states, in some kind of warm weather hunting: why would you take them on vacation?  There's plenty of perfectly comfortable shorts, of a vast variety of styles that aren't camo.

Is there some kind of message wearing camo is supposed to signal when you're at the beach?

Some will eventually discover the joys of the AJ mask. One of these days my wife will wear it for me. I just know it.

Just don't have her wear it during sex.

Or do if it's your thing.

This. Camouflage clothing has a purpose. It's not a fashion statement.

Guess I'm strange I don't own anything camo that isn't used for hunting, and I refuse to wear it any other time.

Just not my thing, but to each their own.

To what end?

1.) No worthy war brides.
2.) No decent captured weapons.
3.) Rum is imported so, no decent distilleries.
4.) Population dependent on tourism. Somewhat feral so, they are a problem not an asset.
5,) Cruise tourists are a major source of revenue so, fat, obnoxious Americans flood the islands every week.

I’m not seeing the benefit. Let’s go invade Colombia. The pussy alone makes it worth the risk.

I’m married to the only women that will tolerate me and too old for a harem or the fiery Latina mindset anyway. You go ahead. But we could liberate those forest products to fuel the next conquest. New Zealand seems nice and not well armed.

That’s the entire purpose. She can’t get the voice even close though so it’s probably for the best.

This was one of the claimed reasons the Navy selected camo to be worn and not intended to blend into any backgrounds.  In reality, probably more of a fashion to look more "military".

Probably 50% of people wear Mossy Oak or Realtree stuff where I live. Then I was in Los Angeles on a work trip once, wearing a light jacket that was Mossy Oak-patterned and not thinking anything of it because that's normal to me, and no joke every single California pedestrian on my side of the street crossed to the other side rather than walk past me. It was really weird.

I would have never in a million years thought to check something like illegal clothing being born a raised free. It defiantly puts a new perspective on things.

That’s stupid advice.  They can and do enforce that law against Americans.

Eff'n snowflakes! I have a two-color desert camo BDU cap that I like to wear because it has a shorter brim than ball caps. I was told that it was intimidating to people at a bar I used to go to.

Yes it’s a law and yes it is occasionally enforced. As with all things turd world it depends where you are and what you’re doing. They’ll hassle the locals but generally leave tourists alone. If you get stopped as a tourist by the BDF for wearing camo shorts on the pier or near the market in Nassau they’re just shaking you down. Bimini won’t care. Grand Bahama has some legit gangs that this kind of law is made for. The outer islands (the real Bahamas) won’t even notice. Backpacks are fairly common. Clothing is much less so. They did a bit more dictatorial around COVID and afterwards for a while.

There was an American a few weeks ago that got arrested for it coming off of a cruise ship.  He was blaming the cruise line because they didn’t warn passengers not to wear camo.    Gotta shake down the tourists until nobody wants to visit to your port.
