Anyone the questions the narrative the movie is being hamstrung, by theater chains or the distributors immediately get labeled a supporter of pedophelia. What's the occurance rate of adoptive gay parents doing that compared to biological straight parents? I bet you wouldn't like the answer. |

Quoted: Movie was never marketed for kids... So no idea what you are crying about. View Quote Really? A movie about an iconic toy that’s been heavily marketed to preteens for decades? Let’s do a new GI Joe movie where he’s a bisexual pedofile that does ritual animal sacrifice. Completely ok for adolescent boys as long as it’s not ‘marketed for kids’. |

Quoted: I liked the description "It is a masturbatory fantasy by intersex feminists" The fact that they feel like it was bait and switch surprises me - who expected anything else? FWIW - I actually enjoyed at least one of the Barbie cartoon series a few few years ago. I thought it was fan made. It was not kid inappropriate - but funny as hell to adults who grew up in the early 80's View Quote I posted about this years ago. There are a bunch, but the two main ones were Dreamhouse Adventures and Life in the Dreamhouse. Both were well-made and appropriate, at least in the sense they didn't include any political or age-inappropriate content. Life in the Dreamhouse actually had a lot of jokes that kids wouldn't get. I am sorry to see this because my girls love Barbie and it has been an American icon for so long. |

That one did have pretty good scripts for a cheap children's show. |

Quoted: Kids aren’t stupid. They know Barbie doesn’t have a pussy. If she went to the real world, obviously this would have to be one of the first questions they address. It’s a pg13 movie, I think pg movies in the 80s had tits in them, because every movie had tits in them. Edit jaws was rated PG, quit being such a bunch of babies. View Quote "In order to receive an R rating, a motion picture must have full frontal nudity, graphic violence, or an explicit reference to the sex act. It’s only a surprise if you are retarded.
This movie was made by the director and his wife who made White Noise. |

Unfortunately, kids shows have really been made for adults for a long time now.

Quoted: Dunno. Not the kind of movie I’d go see. But I’ve watched things like Matrix and The Terminator movies with my kids when they were young. Part of a parents job is to teach the difference between movies and real life. And a parent should know their own children well enough to understand what they are and are not mature enough to handle. View Quote This. My parents took me to see Magnum Force when I was a pre-teen. They knew I could handle the violence. |

Maybe it wasn’t marketed to kids but is was rerun in the time slot. I was too little to know, but were people all outraged about this or Jack Tripper and all the gay and sexual threes company references? Kids watched that stuff all the time back in the day. Quoted: Cool. Split second, by surprise, in a theater, with other people around, to sub-13 year old kids? Not a parent but that seems like a dumb way to do it. Split second, by surprise, in a theater, with other people around, to sub-13 year old kids? Not a parent but that seems like a dumb way to do it. I find it interesting you specifically mention sub-13 year old kids. Perhaps we can convince some organization to issue a formal rating to this movie in a way to suggest children that young shouldn't watch it? However could that be done? |

I saw half the trailer posted here last night. Wife either saw OP's video or a similar video and was pretty adamant our daughter can't watch it due to content and message. Works out great for me. Sticking to watching pre y2k cartoons and movies with kids.

My 27 and 25 year old daughters went to see it together last night. They were really excited since they grew up playing with Barbies. They expected this to be their Star Wars.
My oldest called me at 9:30 PM and said "Well, I should have expected it, but they have screwed up Barbie. Movie is liberal trash. Childhood ruined." I asked her if the reports of it being a complete feminist man-bashing hateful movie were true, she said "It's worse." My wife still wants to see it, just to see the costumes and set design. When it's free on a streaming service. |

Is anyone really surprised? It is Hollywood...
The only way I'd watch it is if it showed off Margo's lovely new snatch |

The last time I was in a theater was to see the 2nd installment of "Atlas Shrugged" and it sure as hell didn't come out of Comiewood.
