When I was a kid I always wanted the stupid fancy ice cream novelties from the ice cream truck, but my parents always got us a Popsicle or an ice cream sandwich. I hated that. Today it is one of my favorite summertime treats. I have found that most ice cream sandwiches however suck these days. They have gotten tiny, it tastes more like ice milk, and the chocolate wafer has a shitty aftertaste. I usually buy a box, get half way through it and lose interest until the next summer. Carvel flying saucers used to be available, haven't seen them in ages. Klondike is pretty good. Blue Bunny are good, but not many places carry them. I did however try Friendly's brand this weekend and ! Regular-sized, real ice cream, yummy cookie wafer.

One of the very few things I miss about California is the It's It ice cream sandwich.

I will have to keep looking I guess. No Carvel around here any longer. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Stop and Shop carries them sometimes, although freshly made from Carvel are better. I could always bring you a six pack when I take my son to Troy in August if you're in the area. |

For people that have Publix supermarkets, their Publix brand ice cream sandwiches are outstanding. Sorry I just made you fat(ter).

Why don't you lay off the ice cream sandwiches and eat a bowl of broccoli instead? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

You are no longer my friend... Go eat an Eskimo Hair Pie! Why don't I pee on you with my broccoli infused and wretched smelling urine... You'd probably like that and would pickle your walrus meat in it. |

I had some store-brand mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches from Food Lion. They were like the regular rectangular ones, but with the different ice cream they were superb!

It's it by a mile. Nothing else even comes close. I lived on these in highschool.

Store brand, or blue bunny, nothing fancy ...
Though the Oreo sandwiches rock too.. |

I like the Abbots custard wheels.
I'm pretty sure that Abbots reaches far enough East to be in your neck of the woods. |
