Not related, but it is a semi 733 clone.
It’s on a Aero Precision lower I stamped for a MK18 build. I have a PSA M16A2 lower that I need to Form1, but I keep getting distracted and buying other stuff. Attached File |

A Belgian pattern FAL bayonet will fit over a standard 22mm NATO flash hider.
You just have to have a step/shoulder in the right spot for the latch to butt up against. |

Quoted: @benw8887 We make a bayonet lug for Mossberg 500 shotguns that takes the FN pattern bayonet. And this would be a similar concept. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/91277/nds-bayo_2_JPG-1372481.jpg Basically, in order to fit on an AR you need a flash hider that give you a step/shoulder at 1.5" from the front of the FSB. The back of the bayonet stops on the front of FSB and the latch snaps down behind the step on the back of the muzzle device. View Quote Without the notch, though, the bayonet is free to rotate. It would also be ideal to use a muzzle device that uses flash vents similar to a FAL's in configuration, to match the bayonet. The South Africans did make a modified version for use with their Galil, although they didn't make many and didn't use them for much more than ceremonial stuff. The other socket bayonet to consider is the one for the L85, which has a more conventionally-shaped blade. |

I'm more interested in going for an early-ish 733 "Heat" clone, and liked the idea of getting the upper as light as possible, so went with their C7 upper and lite barrel option. C7 11.5 Commando Lite Hammer Forged Upper ETA: also picked up a two position receiver extension and polymer stock from Retrorifles. They have the aluminum in stock, but 200+ seemed a bit over the top since it won't be going on a clone correct lower. @towerofpower94 What's the build quality on these uppers? Are you happy with the purchase? |

I’m trying to figure out which mount to use, I like the look of the Smith Enterprises rail but I’d like to find a good one for a little less money. I don’t want to go with chinesium, but something in the $75 range area would be great. |

Anyone got a lead or know where to find a decent pencil barrel, carbine gas, with a fixed FSB .625 journal? All I am seeing is Delton at the moment and am unsure about a semi serious rifle with their barrel at this moment.
