For the prep I got the bad stuff. Dreading the second round of prep was as bad as drinking it.
Got the Michael Jackson juice. I was out 28 minutes, best 8 hours of sleep I've ever had. When I woke up I said, "Can I go again?" Nope, one a day. Then they told me I had to fart(they blow you up with CO2) before I could leave. It was a glorious fart, I think I got almost half of the alphabet out before I ran out of gas. |

This is the second one that I will be aware of. I had at least one other that I was already under for a surgery. I didn't learn about that one until some weeks later. That was the best one ever

Had mine earlier this year at 45. The prep was awful, felt like the worst diarrhea I ever had times 10! Just kept going and couldn't be far from a toilet in my house, ugh.

Had mine this year. The hospital puts together a six page portfolio with color pictures of your insides. Two small polyps, nothing more. Doctor comes in and goes over the photoshoot and then sends you home.

I have had three of them. For the first one, I told them I had things I needed to do that afternoon so I didn't want any sedative. They doc asked me if I was sure, and I said I was. Don't make the same mistake I did. All subsequent colonoscopies have been with sedative. The way they inflate you feels like the worst gut cramp ever if you are awake...with sedative, it is a piece of cake.

I got one tomorrow as well.
0915, so technically, I will be before you due to the time difference. My doc prescribes Clenpiq as the prep. It is actually not too bad. Drank my first bottle at 5pm. Do another at 9 pm and drink lots of water. No problem. I have Crohns, so I get the rear treatment regularly. I have had over a dozen in the past 10 years. Once, 3 times in one year. That was before I had surgery though. I asked the doc if it was necessary or if he just really enjoyed it!! Good luck on yours. Hope you are all clear. I am hoping mine is too so I can get off of some of the meds. |

First glass is down. Not bad, just made the gatorade slightly thicker maybe.
Not at all like the prescription stuff that I had before. |

Quoted: I've had 3 or 4?? Most recent one was the worst as I was overconfident and wanted to get through the potion drinking part ASAP. Drank it too fast and got to experience significant nausea all night along with the expected effects. It's "one glass every 15 minutes" for me from now on. View Quote |

The question I have is, what should I watch while waiting for the pregame to finish? I've got Netflix and Amazon prime as my main movie channels. Funny movies are contra indicated for the sake of the furniture. View Quote |

Well... maybe it's because I'm already missing some of my colon but...
Let the games begin |

I had one in January. The procedure is cake. Like everyone said, the prep is the brutal part. Starving and diarrhea are not as much fun as it sounds. Won't have to do it again for a while.

My Doc says I look like a 25YO guy from this view. Ain’t that something?! This is my best view. Any other pictures of me look like shit! https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/161250/B2404151-6DE1-442E-9339-7B655A665AFF-386768.png View Quote My only scope was during a MASSIVE UC flare up. Didn't see what the big deal was. The prep wasn't that bad at all, but I suppose it's all relative. I'd spent the last month and a half suffering from severe abdominal pain and explosive and EXTREMELY urgent diarrhea 24/7. My insides looked like the aftermath of a shotgun suicide. |

My next colonoscopy, I'm putting the citrate powder in 000 gel caps, and just hydrating my ass off, 'cuz that shit tastes nasty. I always keep a supply of 000 gelcaps from CapsuleDepot on hand.

While not desirable, this experience is not as crazy as the first one.
I guess that's probably due to the fact that I limited how much I've been eating and what I've been eating for several days. I sure hope this doesn't mean I did it wrong and have to do it again. |

Good prep notes, esp. charging the electronics. And wipes. I guess something with Aloe?

Why such a late appointment? Get in, get out. Get biscuits and gravy.

Second pill on board just now. 2 hours to go before drinking the half gallon miralax mix. Brand new package if baby wipes. Brand new padded toilet seat. Full charge on phone and kindle reader. Couple quarts of my preferred non red or purple colored drink ready to go. Surprised that the doc didn't use that Rx MoviPrep stuff I had to gag down last time. Not complaining though. Did otc laxative makers make some kind of atomic colon blow break through in the past few years or something? Or was the Rx stuff the same all along? View Quote |

Done. Doc will do full consult later, nurse said it looked pretty good.
Nap time now. |

Everyone I know that's an actual physician gets it done awake, no sedatives. (Mainly because they don't want the ambien walrus effect around coworkers, but also so they can walk back out and not waste a day.)

mine are always scheduled at 7AM .. yeah I get it done a lot....

Hey, as bad as they are to prep for and the comments from the kids here remember, it beats cancer.

I put it off for years.
The Doc finally said to do the Cologard deal, so I did. There's no prep. He never got back to me, so, it's over. For a while. |
