Quoted: I’m surprised more hasn’t been developed for re-creating voices. Of course that would be very, very dangerous in the wrong hands View Quote AI voice cloning already exists. Here's a paper from 2018 - 2019 that can do it with a 5 second sample of your voice. It has probably improved in the past year or two. Can't wait for Hollywood to be replaced by this. The actors can then learn to code!

IMO there have been more convincing results done in the past by the entertainment industry (gaming/film) already.
Still pretty decent compared to what passes for CG art these days. As some said, smiles and facial expressions are the weakness for these simulations, for me I think modelers have yet to make more convincing eyes - everything seems too perfectly shaped. |

I wouldn't even question that pic unless given reason to, and with a fast scan, I probably wouldn't realize it was a fake. I'm not even sure it is a fake now.

Looks like someone a Japanese animator wants to rape with a tentacle.

Decades? No I think we're already there. There has to be stuff way beyond what we see posted that is in existence.

How long before this is used by governments to frame people for crimes/situations they didn't commit?
If a political dissident is raising cain, use this tech to make it appear they're banging some under aged victim. |

Quoted: We will, absolutely, reach a point of inability to distinguish. Her hand on face is a bit funky, has the plastic look, but the major issue I see, is actually not the woman, per se, but the inconsistencies in the depth of field. There are things that should be in focus based on the same plane, and things that shouldn't, and that is screwy in a few places. Shadows and reflections are the next things that need a tweak, but it is definitely scary good, and is only going to get better. View Quote |

View Quote This is one of those things that absolutely terrifies me and I don't mean that in a rhetorical or hyperbolic manner. As these fake pictures and deep-fake, AI-created images and videos become increasingly realistic we are going to see a blurring of reality. I read this article - Deepfakes Are Going To Wreak Havoc On Society. We Are Not Prepared. - on Forbes a while back and it is absolutely correct. We are neither ready for this type of technology nor its impact on us. Just as you said, the burden of proof will be on you / the victim to show that they were not molesting a child, cheating on their spouse, committing a crime, etc. It even leads towards a conundrum of having to give up privacy - location tracking, etc. - to protect innocent; i.e., "I couldn't have done that there because I was over here." |

Real or not... she will still turn into a miserable cunt when she hits menopause.
