I fucking detest winter. I have never understood why anyone would like this shitty season.

It’s -23 outside, 74 inside (warmer than I like, but happy wife…), so delta is 97 degrees.
Pretty good if I say so. |

-8 outside, 68 inside, not quite the delta that a few of you guys have, but 76 degree differential is pretty solid on the whole.

We went out and threw a cup of boiling water to finally see if it worked ourselves. It did, pretty neat. At what - temp does it have to be for that to work? I don't know, it was -19º when we did it. I would guess anything below zero. |

The bluest sky I have ever seen was in the dead of winter at forty-something below. The rest of your list - you aren't wrong. I guess you could have a beersicle? |

Currently 13 outside. Was at 2 degrees at the coldest and pretty damn windy. Power was out most of the afternoon, so the inside temps are all over the place. Hot as hell in the living room with the fireplace, rest of the house is running 65-73 or so.
I prefer about 68-70, but will crank it when needed to protect the pipes and such to get the heat everywhere. Power has been back on a bit so starting to stabilize. |

69 inside, 51 outside, forecast 47
I’ll probably run a space heater in the morning. |

High 40's right now, will drop to mid 30's by tomorrow morning. I suspect our cold will be Monday night.
Spent a lot of the afternoon outside getting ready for the freeze. It was in the high 60's - so zero delta then. Managed to unload a bit over 3,000lbs off a trailer and get it stowed in the barn. Got to love forks (moved 2 pallets). Only issue was the pallets were on my light trailer - so I could only unload from the rear, and had to drag them to the back to get them on the forks. |

67 inside, -19 outside. Supposed to warm up to -12 by 6am. Normally keep the house at 65, but trying to keep things a little warmer tonight. Last night was -31 and some of our waterlines inside froze last night.

-9 outside, thermo set to 65.
Icy Yuengling in my left hand with koozie for insulation, generous pour of Old Grand Dad 114 in my right. Went to town to watch the Chiefs game, FN car wouldn't start when it was time to go. You know you've got a good friend when they help troubleshoot your POS car in the deep freeze. Home now, warming up |
|
72* inside about 5 at my house outside, right now will hit -10 or so tonight. Have R57 on top a little less on the sides.

It turned into a huge cloud of steam and disappeared. Weird. |

Freezing now. Tomorrow high of 60 and low of 12 forecast. 72 inside same as every other day.

It's about 65 inside, 0 outside with a low of -4 predicted and a high of 2.

70/30.
My electric strip heat in my air handler isn't working so i'm fucked this coming week. My poor heat pump is just going bonkers lol. I think it will maintain the temp until about 20-25ish degrees without the aux strip heat. I'm worried we'll have rolling blackouts like we did last year for the first time. I've got two electric space heaters, a indoor/outdoor buddy heater, plenty of 1lb and 20lb tanks, and a backup generator though so hopefully I won't die. |
