Nope , it's a 2500 tradesman , had everything I needed   nothing I didn't, apparently I over looked the need for remote start

As long as you don't do any body computer programming, the FlashLogic kit works well.  Integrates into the vehicle without any additional splicing, and uses the oem remote.  But, I guess having the dealer install the OEM system would be nice, too.

Its going to be 60 degrees here today.

Maybe some more snow north of me will get some more ducks moving.

Let it snow.

Lecktric stuff is out of my wheelhouse , I could have went to an aftermarket shop for a couple hundy cheaper but I figure having the dealer install an oem would be a better option if something wonky happens down the road

Remote start is meh.  I either parked it with the AC on and need defrost or I have to go throw the exhaust brake on anyways.

Might as well just walk out there

Yeah, the OEM ones actually talk to the body computer bidirectional.  For instance, Wodstock's jeep has an emissions (evap solenoid) issue, so it shuts down the remote start.  Lovely, huh?  On the other hand, if your oil pressure drops, or the alternator shits the bed, it'll shut it down.  Will probably limit the amount of times you can start it, though.  Ours are 2 starts, 15 minutes each.  The Flashlogic kits are $150-200 and are easy to install.  Just plugging in a harness to the factory start button, headlight switch, and OBD-II port.  Then you program the controller to your vehicle with a windoze computer and a usb interface.  Everything is hidden in the dash.

I can lay out and take a 5 story building out of the ground with a transit and a grade laser but I would surely fuck that installation up and then blame it on my color blindness
