At 28:50 a dude asks him to go shooting after his Q&A session ends.

Are you making the formal claim that Trump taught his boys to hunt and shoot in his Manhattan apartment?

Do some research.

Trump did not raise those boys. He divorced their mom, and they were taught how to hunt and shoot by the divorced moms dad.

Their *grandpa* taught them what they know.

Not Trump.

To give Trump credit is absolutely ridiculous.

I doubt it is the father of the woman Trump divorced... The one who taught the boys to hunt and shoot after Trump divorced their mom...

The boys might have turned out right.

But Trump did not teach them to hunt and shoot...

As an aside, I have seen many grandparents do well to raise kids after a divorce. Good on the grandparents here.

agreed. I want the hughes ban gone a lot worse than I want the NFA stamp requirement to be gone.  I would be thrilled if they scrapped the whole thing, but honestly I'd be happy with just getting the 86 ban, which is absolute crap, scrapped.

He needs to be, could absolutely petition to remove NFA for the country, would a good start.

The NFA isn't as bad as the 86 ban.

I would want the 86 ban to go first...getting an NFA item is pretty easy and not too horribly priced...

Getting a machine gun...is pretty damn expensive...and a PITA

I'd be happy with Hughes gone, but I'd be thrilled with the ability to experiment with making suppressors at home without the paperwork.

I read a blog post from a non trump supporter, and he referenced Trump's kids and how good they were, which in his mind was a reflection of good parenting. It was only a blurb in the article, which was overall well written.

I'll see if I can find it.

Trump has a lot of respect for his sons and spends a lot of time with them. What makes you think he won't listen to them? It seems obvious that they helped shaped his views regarding guns to what they are today.

I honestly believe that a lot of you guys are going to be surprised when Trumps wins the general election.

I also think that many of you will be pleasantly surprised with how the gun issue goes un President Trump.

I think/hope/believe that Trump may go down as the most pro-gun president in history.

Think about it... He is from New York City and he is running on a gun platform that is to the right of any President in modern history...  I don't see him running on the issue so strongly, only to turn around and cut us.

At least you understand who is influencing who here.

I think it is pathetic for Trump supporters to insinuate that it was Trump who took the time to raise his kids and teach his boys to hunt and shoot after he divorced their mom...

The *grandpa* taught the boys how to hunt and shoot...

And if there is anyone influencing anyone else, it was the boys who were raised right --by the grandpa-- in the woods, camping, hunting, and shooting... Influencing their dad.

It is flat-out ridiculous to give Trump any credit with his conservative sons who hunt and shoot...

And if there is *any* influence it is from the sons to the father... Which does not reflect very well on Trump, really.

But it is viable to say that they helped shape Trump's 2A position
