I am glad that there is an extraordinary citizen who not only has the fortitude but the cash to back it up and shove eminent domain up that city's keister.
To think, had the city just respected the man's rights and property, they could have bypassed his land and installed the water line for less than what they have paid on legal fees. In Austin a few years ago, the city wanted to build a multistory parking garage next to a new city arena in the downtown area. There is no dirt for sale. So they file an eminent domain case and expect they will win, build the garage, and then lose the case. The owner now owns the garage. Cities are bullies.

It was sad and tragic in many cases--but necessary--in order to build the interstate highways, but these days it's too often some bureaucrat's "dream project" that is neither necessary, nor even useful, which requires taking private property. Dallas has been a leftist, minority controlled city and county for many decades. The recently Not Guilty verdict on Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price is going to have a negative effect in Dallas County. That jerkoff and his Rainbow Coalition clowns used to stir up a lot of trouble on behalf of the minorities in Dallas County. Numerous incidents involving Price's criminal activities also ended with him getting off the hook. He's destroyed private property and once broke the ankle of a worker who was minding his own business when Price assaulted and attacked him. With the FBI's criminal investigation and subsequent Grand Jury indictment against Price for public corruption, he suddenly stopped his illegal activities and kept a low profile pending the trial for the last 5 or so years. Now he got off Scott free.
