Quoted: I no longer believe we did, only because we can't seem to do now and the technology we have now compared to then is mind boggling more View Quote It's not simply a matter of technology. It's a massive flex of industrial might and engineering. It was a mammoth undertaking every single time they launched a Saturn V with dudes to the moon. More advanced technology hasn't changed the basic fundamental problem of getting to the moon that you need to convert a tremendous amount of propellant into thrust to get even a modest amount of payload on a course for the moon. Every Artemis moon mission coming up is going to be a similar order of magnitude of cost as building a Ford class aircraft carrier. |

Of course we did.
How else were we supposed to verify that it was hollow? |
|
We can do anything we have the funding for. We had then funding to walk on the Moon then.

Bang Zoom ...You're Going to the Moon! |

Quoted: NASAs budgets was 2.7% of the US budget is 1969 and 100% of their funds was focused towards one thing, landing on the moon. It’s estimated that half a million people either directly or indirectly worked to make the moon landing possible. In 2023 NASAs budget was 0.4%, and their moon efforts is a tiny percentage of their overall budget. I bet there isn’t more than a few hundred, maybe thousand people working on the moon program. It’s not an issue of if we can do it, we can, it’s the lack of desire. The space race was a very unique situation that will likely never happen again. If we go to the moon again in our life time it will require identifying a demand that the private sector can step in to make it happen. View Quote We're going back in a few years, and we're definitely in a cold space race with China. |

There’s literally physical proof left on the moon that we can see with cameras on satellites. Op is retarded

Elon is already working on the stage for the Mars films and making martian rocks for every country on Earf. |
|
Why “can’t” we do it now OP? It’s simple Newtonian physics. The technology really isn’t that complex. The fact is, we don’t have a modern equivalent of the Soviet Union competing against us. You can bet your ass if the Chinese were to come up with a viable and serious plan to set foot on Mars we would get really interested real quick.
Then again with the current sorry assed state of things, maybe not. |

Of course man has walked on the moon.
The Nazis built the moon as a space station and Hitler is hiding there now. |

Quoted: Pretty sure that's not true. The myth people say often sis you can see the flag with a telescope, not even close. From Earth they can shoot a laser and have a refleciton and time it from the relector they left on the moon. Be like saying you could take a pair of binos and read a licensce plate on the other side of Earth or further. View Quote Definitely not using telescopes on earth. |

Just take a look at your kitchen stove and your washing machines, the US never had the technology to get to the moon when we use here in the US still a stove heater plate design my Grandmother had already in the 1930s in Germany and the washing machines are shaky tubs that never clean anything.

Can I vote for yes and retarded? If faked and found out, US would be the laughing stock of the world. Too much to lose.

I blame the advancement of computer graphics for bullshit like this. You can't believe photos and video anymore because of it. But this tech did not exist in 1968...

No. Man did not walk on the moon. Man did kind of a skipping/hopping low gravity stroll on the moon.

I believe this is the greatest tragedy of all as we all regress as a society. Take events that everyone (even non-Americans,) and confuse or outright deny that one can be prideful of. It's important to de-construct any positives of the "Western World" so a more glorious world can be "ushered" in.
This is the only thing that makes sense to me. OP, this is objectively easy to prove. One, there is video and photo evidence of our presence there. Ok, that can be faked sure but a good telescope pointed at the right spots you can see shit left up there. Kind of hard to fake that but ok it's possible I suppose given some advanced alien race might be involved to fool everyone. Ok, ok how about the Russians, Chinese, hell even the Indians now that can say "FAKE, FAKE there's no evidence the US walked on the moon." I mean they very much would want to undermine that accomplishment if they could. Finally you have telemetry (captured by Russia at the time I'm sure,) that can't be faked and of course the actual live men who were there and various videos/photos/etc. Not to mention the technology simply did not exist to pull of such a hoax; you have to believe all the above to be unsure that it actually happened. What it was is a much different Country, filled with much different people all united in a single cause. Could we go back? Yes but it would take lots of money and many years to do it, we simply don't have the space lift capacity or logistics at this time. Chances are we couldn't fight two world wars and win them right now, that's how far we've fallen. Sad really but events like the Moon Landing should be held up and used for the next "Moon Shot" to continue pushing our society forward. Personally I'd love to see us as a Nation prioritize space exploration but we've got to get our house in order first, too many challenges on Earth. |

I don't think people actually don't believe we landed on the moon, I think they just like to argue, which is fine. Its very entertaining.

Quoted: There would have been so many people involved in the production of a phony moon launch and landing that someone would have surfaced with their "secret" long before now if it was phony. It is really difficult to have that many people keep a secret for a week, and damned near impossible to keep that big of a secret quiet for around 50 years. Like Hell's Angels used to say "Three people can keep a secret if two are dead." View Quote I think ben franklin said that first. |
