My gut feeling in the first six months of Trump's presidency was that he would easily be re-elected and that feeling has only gotten stronger as our country has improved. However, I don't believe in counting my chickens before they hatch so i went with Dems having a slight chance to beat him.

They ALWAYS have a chance. Never underestimate your opponent, especially one that will cheat, lie and steal to win. We're not on a level playing field.
That said, I think Trump has a damn good chance. A lot of this socialism/communism BS will be hard to take for mature Democrats that lived through the 80's. Even if they don't admit it. What we have to watch out for is the millenials/illegals that will fall for their BS and vote. It's clear as day who their target audience is. They'll keep hammering away at the FSA, trying to get their voting numbers up. |

They have been working on it for a long time and will concentrate on the states that gave him the edge which will be easy as they pretty much own the entire election process at this time. Not to mention the entire illegals and voter situation. Edit to add, all they have to do to win over even the most red voting district is to put a single section 8 apartment complex in and it turns blue. Just look at the highly detailed voting map that exists. That is one thing they are doing in the suburbs of Houston. |

What I said before 2016 will be applicable in 2020.
If Trump is ahead in the exit polls, Trump wins. If Trump is equal, Trump wins. If Trump is behind about 5 points, Trump wins. If Trump is behind more than 10 points, he loses. In a land where people are sued for not baking a cake, telling the press/pollsters that you did something politically incorrect is not popular, whether you did it or not. People like money. Trump has given them more. |

Democrats start with quite a few more people in the party. On the other hand, the electoral college benefits the smaller red states. I think Trump will win as long as the economy stays good. It's certainly not guaranteed, but incumbents normally do well.

Democrats from Puerto Rico have been flooding into Florida ever since Hurricane Maria devastated the struggling island in September 2017. They absolutely HATE president Trump. That hate will drive many to vote in 2020. Not sure how we can win without Florida. |
