Do you wear hooded sweatshirts while in public?
Sure, in the winter.
I can't recall a time I ever put the hood up however, even in shit weather. I just don't like the feeling of having "blinders" on. FWIW I have not and can't ever see my self purchasing a hoodie to wear. I have a few and they were all gifts of some kind or other. |
Frequently in the cooler months but only for very informal occasions.

You mean like a certain demographic w/ the hood up all the time ? , and when it's 90° fricking out you switch to your short sleeve one but still wear the hood up ? - no. Or are you talking Feterman style ?

Absolutely, I don't go into stores with my hood up and I'd never approach a stranger with my hood up though. I also don't drive with my hood up, obviously, because that would restrict my vision.

Nothing to do with age that I know of. I live in Georgia and am very hot-natured. I wear tshirts or polos year-round. If it’s one of the two months that I need a jacket over my tshirt outside, I wear one, but I take it off again as soon as I’m inside. No way I’m wearing heavy clothes indoors. I’d melt. |

I wore my team ones in college, pre and post game only. We dressed preppy in the classroom.
For casual wear, I maintain an age appropriate wardrobe. It's a generational issue, imo. |

I wear knit hats and will only put the hood up if it's raining or very cold/windy. Peeps in the "hood" though, they be having those hoods up when it's 90 degrees. |

Yes. On the tail end of spring hoodie and shorts season which is my favorite along with that small window in the fall.

Occasionally, I generally prefer something that zips up. What difference does it make?
I wear it backwards, hood up, holes cut out to see through, sunglasses over the holes.
Facial recognition can’t facial recognize if your face ain’t showing. |

This thread is timely... I was driving through a neighborhood on my way back to the office from lunch today, and saw a young man walking in said neighborhood, pulling on a black ski mask and flipping up the hood on a red hoodie. Something tells me he wasn't on his way to sing in the church choir...
P.S. It is just shy of 90 deg here. |
I'll wear one under a jacket or coat if it's too cold. Maybe a dozen days out of the year.
I get to wear one for about 3 weeks of the year while living in Texas.
I never wear hoodies.
Would be dead from all the rotating equipment I have been around. |
Outdoors, yes.
Indoors, it's a faux pas on the level of wearing dark sunglasses inside. |

IIRC, only time I wear a Hoodie is while I'm coaching baseball and it's cold out. Being able to keep hands and baseballs in pocket is great as is keeping head warm

View Quote Opposite. NY Thermostat down all winter. Double and even triple sweatshirts indoors. Coat over that if I'm going to be out in it for any length of time. |

I'll wear a zip up hooded jacket if it's cold enough. Never a pull over hooded sweatshirt.
Only with a hat, mask and sunglasses on when I am paying cash for a burner phone
Depends on what you mean by public
FS Frigid Cruising by FredMan, on Flickr Sometimes I wear nothing at all |
