Quoted: I hope to God himself they follow this strategy. Put it out front and run with it. If "We the People"(TM) formed a Constitutional convention and repealed the Amendment I would know in my heart that it was a mistake but at least the taking of my inalienable (look the word up if you don't know what it means) right would have been done the legal and correct way. Read that Amendment, read the Constitution and tell me HOW IN THE LORD'S GOOD NAME THE GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO ESCAPE THE RESTRICTIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION. "We the People" need to take charge of the federal and state governments and put them back on their leash. View Quote |

Assault weapon is an undefined and scary term to people. After you establish an undefined scary thing, you can then lump in whatever you want under an AW ban. If someone in here thinks “people” in a lot states want freedom over being able to have whatever gets lumped into an AWB you’re nuts. Let’s be honest the left isn’t only against guns and freedom, they are against anything they portray is a traditional value to white men. Most stereotypical gun owners are white men so anything opposed to those traditions, is a good thing to most folks on the left. It’s more of a how can we piss them off situation than a what’s best for me situation. View Quote |

The only people who this guy appeals to are the radical left.... Like all the others....... so banning guns is about all he can say to sound appealing to them. The problem for him is that the other candidates are also radically and crazily anti-2A... so he will be riding almost solely on his minority privilege. His anti-gun campaign is his disparate Hail Mary to win in a sea of Democrats just like him.

My experience with antis is that they have no sense whatsoever that anyone would resist.
Gun control has been almost completely ineffective in the US, nobody has any idea what would happen if something draconian enough to be effective actually happened. They think they can just write a law that will make all the guns disappear, if you ask them who's going to kick the doors and shoot it out with the noncompliant it doesn't even compute for them. They also think gunowners are a tiny minority for the most part, and the incident rate is much higher than it is. |

Booker is an American black male, far and away the most murderously violent group in contemporary Western society. He will say and/or do anything to distract white Americans from that fact; and when he can’t distract them from it, he’ll blame them for it. View Quote |

They don't need to ban anything. It doesn't really hurt them to try, either. All we can say is 'no'.
Meanwhile, you impose minor restrictions. Not enough to move anyone to start yelling 'Wolverines!', or anything. Little stuff. And you get 'common sense' laws passed. Registrations, red flag laws, etc. And you start picking people off one by one through those minor laws. All the while you work on the next generation. Start shaping the opinions of the kids. Get in their heads. And one by one, the dominoes fall. They are playing the long game, while also tossing occasional Hail Mary's. Watch the long game. Take your kids shooting, and talk to them about liberty, and tyranny. |

like most democrats he would love to ban them
reality is he is mainly pandering to the far left voters who will be voting in the democrat primaries they do and say these things every goddamn time and you guys act like its the first time you've heard it. then they tone it down in general elections same as trump being mister no compromise RKBA before he won. then became what he is after he got in office |

Why yes, yes he does. As do all the other anti-gunners. We law abiding gun owners are the problem here. View Quote What do you think is going to be different about the next ban compared to every other? You think people who can't be bothered to buy another brand of beer or turn off football for something that doesn't support taking our rights are really going to fight? Naw never happen. They'll make all kinds of excuses Oh this time the supreme court will save us. We'll win the next election and this time the house and Senate really will expand gun rights. I've got work and support my family. Those people aren't perfect so I can't even support them with positive comments let alone join them. The excuses are endless but all amount to the same thing. |

1-2 states a year seem to think so.
The losses at the state level are adding up to the point where I think roughly half the country's population lives under an AWB of some sort already. |

Define "fly"
Do you mean fly as in the American people will vote for a candidate that will ban them or fly as in does he think people will just roll over and abide by the new law. If the latter, the answer is yes because he knows the majority will. |

Corey is very good at making total bullshit/outlandish comments, knowing he'll never be held accountable for them. Hillary does the same.

It has not flown yet but that hasn't stopped their push for gun control. They keep proposing bans and what gets passed is a loss of rights that seldom are restored. We have been slowly withdrawing on the battlefield of freedom trying to defend the rights we have left as they win fight after fight. Anytime we do fight back against the laws they have passed and win they change them just enough to be in compliance with the ruling and then continue to seek further restrictions.

You're thinking of direct confrontation and the game is attrition. There's no concern over kicking down doors because they'll be made incrementally illegal and gun owners will be dancing on the grave of the NRA and hiding the guns at home. People who do take them out for use will be picked up here and there but in a few generations the idea is dead, the status quo is accepted, and your great great grandkids will turn in the contraband they find in the basement when you die and society is disarmed.
