Interesting juxtaposition with the previous post about not being a good idea for the cartels.  I agree, I have no interest at all in visiting present-day Mexico.  But M does depend upon tourism for legitimate sources of income. As tourism declines, so will the legitimate businesses in M. The swirl in the bowl gets tighter as it approaches the bottom.

This is exactly why I don't give the slightest fuck about the Mexican civilians.  When they've had enough, they'll arm themselves and kill every last soul in the cartels and their families, but I wouldn't hold my breath because I'd venture to guess they'd have to kill about 70% of the population and everyone in their government to accomplish that.

Obviously you’ve never been to or worked in an ER and seen the results of drug abuse and addiction, doesent matter if it’s illegal or prescription drugs. It doesent matter where they obtain them, the end result is a drain on society and endangering the lives of those around them because of their self destructive behavior and poor life choices.

As for what the drug cartels do, it’s called Narco Terrorism for a reason.

Hmm on the bright side it looks like they did most the carving and mutilating after the people were dead. Which is better than some cartel videos that are out there.

Looks like they were starting to carve off that one guys face, lol probably to sew it to a soccer ball.

Of course, Paul Ryan thinks he’s invincible.

So right now he simply doesn’t give a damn what the good folks who elected him have to say about the situation right now in Washington.

In fact, traitor Paul Ryan is planning to once again betray his constituents and the American people -- during Christmas.

You see, Congress must pass the year-end spending bill before they can recess and go home for Christmas.

And just like a thief in the night, Paul Ryan is plotting to slip DACA into the year-end spending bill -- granting BLANKET AMNESTY to over 800,000 illegal aliens.

This is outrageous to say the least.
No way the Republicans let that happen...................

They aren't killed by drunk driving. They're killed because someone ran into them.

I'd wager the vast majority of drunken idiots drive home just fine. I'd also wager drunk driving deaths pale in comparison to distracted driving accidents.

I believe judges should be able to use their discretion in sentencing drunks, because they made a choice that may have impacted their ability to drive, but the act of drunk driving unto itself doesn't necessarily have a victim.

And before I get the usual response, I don't drink and have lost a close friend, and a relative to a drunk who ran into them.

How can you be so naive?  You actually think that drug violence will end with legalization?  These people will continue to fight turf wars there and then here for control of the supply.

No, I don't think the violence will go away. But it will definitely decrease.

But you know what? Even if it didn't, I DON'T CARE. Drugs shouldn't be illegal, and freedom has absolutely nothing to do with guarantees of safety. If I could wave a magic wand and vanish all guns, that would DEFINITELY decrease firearms related violence. Would you support that?

It's about freedom. I don't give a shit about your theories about safety. If you're so terrified, there are better countries for you to live in that share your view of government sponsored safety.

Funny you mention the 20s. We had a lot more freedom back then, before people like you joined up with the cowards. In fact, nearly every decision made after the 20s that led to drug and alcohol control, gun control, etc used your anti-freedom arguments. What's old is new again.

But, you'll be happy to know that there are historical examples of you being wrong. Legalize previously banned items leads to criminal organizations looking for other means to make money, and ultimately dying out as organized powerhouses.

That's why there is still street battles with police at Speakeasies.

All joking aside, what did the Mafia do once alcohol was off the blackmarket? They jumped to other heavily regulated industries, and ultimately into *GASP* drugs! And now? They're barely a blip on the radar. At least as it relates to the average US citizen.

ETA: I was actually just reading a book about how the mafia involvement in gambling led to more mafia gambling competition and more or less resulted in political lobbying and slowly morphed into relatively legitimate businesses because it was easier to operate in the open than it was to keep up the shenanigans (outside money laundering.)

Who said anything about breaking into someone’s home?
My reply was to the poster stating Zero Fucks Given for people stupid enough to live somewhere where things like this occur.
Some people don’t have a choice about where they are born or the situation they find themselves in. And then when some of them do try to correct that situation they find themselves with few good choices.

We got lucky to be born Americans. And we sometimes forget that and post crap like Zero Fucks Given for the folks who were unlucky enough to be born in a 3rd world shithole.

But hey that’s nor our problem right? Fuckem for being unlucky.
