Not Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate) but Gorilla Glue (Polyurethane). PU doesn't cure in seconds, but moisture does speed it along.

Sounds like LE just pushed through, forcing them to rip apart.

That's my thought as well. Completely ignore them and the problem will resolve itself. If you want to mess with them, don't say a word, just hang out nearby drinking ice water from time to time.

Blocking a fire exit should be grounds for their removal immediately. They are posing a life threading situation to the health and safety of the people in the building. To bad it is going to hurt.
