I submitted my request for $650 for an EXPS2-0 with no receipt and recieved an approval within 10 minutes.
Seems a lil odd to get a responce that fast if they are so busy. I'm also uneasy about the "ship us your EOTech as soon as possible" sentence in the email. They seem to be very eager to take them from us but not to hand out the refund. Also the fact that nowhere does it say in what form the refund will be. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Now I'm debating to keep a sight I've loved until I logged onto ARFCOM after a 2 year break. |

This is a frigging disaster for me. I own four Eotechs that I have never had a problem with. Although I've never used them in cold weather.
But hearing all this, now I can't trust them! I don't know what I'm going to do! |

Lol, I have an old broken eotech I basically got in trade for next to nothing. I'm going to submit a request for a refund for the amount I paid, which was like $14 dollars.

Meh, an Aimpoint's primary intended usage is short to medium range engagements on man size targets. When looked at in that light, 2 MOA is perfectly fine. If you're trying to shoot for groups, you'd be better off choosing something else. |

I submitted a request for a 553. They came back and asked if I had a receipt. I said that I did not, which I don't. They returned with "we need a receipt as this is a military model optic". Has anybody ran into that one yet?

So folks are now finally understanding why we in the military ALWAYS ran our rear BUIS in the up position when issued an EOTech.
Yet - - - I'm going to hang on to my one & only EOTech for now since its on one of my "fun-guns" and not my social firearms that all have Aimpoints. Having had a less than enjoyable experience dealing with L3 as the Army's User Proponent on a billion dollar simulator program....., I'm going to wait and see if the "checks-in-the-mail" really ever arrive. I wouldn't put it pass those L3 SOBs to put EOTech into bankruptcy and then sell the return inventory to Cheaper Than Dirt. |
|
I'm guessing at least 6 to 8 weeks for a refund check and I'm sure for tax purposes they wanna get as much done as fast as possible.

I think I am going to wait to see some reports of actual received funds before I start boxing up my EoTech units

I spoke to Eotech this morning.
To clear up my personal situation, and help others with the "MAGNIFIER" confusion, the MAGNIFIER MUST BE INCLUDED. That is NOT what I was told in 3 different emails from "Patrice" But I can assure you, they want both pieces back, since in the HHSI and HHSII they are a "SET" I was told to send my magnifier back or I would need to adjust the refund amount down to account for the magnifier. I was ok with that, and actually think it lends credibility to this. FOR THOSE WHO KEEP PUSHING THE "CREDIT" VS MONEY DEBATE, STOP. ITS A MONEY REFUND, NOT CREDIT |

Guys that are sending in 231 marked 553's... Are any of them Law Guns units?
I'm debating if I should RMA mine. I still have the $350 receipt, but scared to go through with it. |

They approved my refund on my Eotech made in 2000, still working fine but does look to be delaminating some. I will mail it Thursday.
|
|
So far I have gotten the run around and still own a broken 552.

Filled out the RMA for my 512-A yesterday. Just got an email that I'm approved for a $459 refund + $15 shipping.
|
|
Filled out my rma today for my xps2.
Kind of funny, I just got it back a couple weeks ago for warranty work because it would no longer get bright enough to see during daylight hours. 2013 manufacture date.... very lightly used, no cold, sand or humidity. I have a $69 Bushnell micro that has taken far more abuse with no issues. Makes me sick to think I could have picked up 7 or so of those for what I spent on the xps2. I'm glad I can just get a check and pick something else up now, I don't have a lot of faith in stuff once its failed me. For those on the fence I would take the money and run. |
|
Wasn't sure that I was going to take advantage of this offer at first. But after thinking it over decided to sent in my request for a RMA# also.
|
|
I told the UPS store it was "optical equipment" she was kind of WTF but gave me no problems. Also got a WTF look about $1000 for insurance. She said there had to be a minimum of 2 inches of packing around the item or they wouldn't pay. I said that's fine and signed where I refused extra packing. I packed my 512's well and am only worried about theft anyway.
Is anyone else paranoid about sending two sights back in the same box? I sent my two rma's in the box on top of the Eotech box and wrapped the individual sights in copys or the rma. I just feel like I am going to get screwed on this somehow. Like, I won't get any refund or only get a refund for one instead of two. |
|
I have always been a big Eotech supporter...
But after reading about the shenanigans that they have pulled...I am sending mine back got the approval this morning... |
