"The Limey"
The Limey (1/11) Movie CLIP - Tell Him I'm Coming! (1999) HD |
|
Quoted: Yeah, but it really wouldn't have worked out well to close it with him alive either. View Quote A much better ending would be if Jamie Foxx was able to diffuse only one of several charges he set before they were armed. Then putting it in his cell and making clyde decide if he is willing to die to complete his task. He of course does sacrifice himself after some meaningful conversation with Foxx who is changed by the ordeal. Foxx in the afterward implements various sweeping positive reforms to the criminal justice system. The final scene is montage-esqe of him continually climbing the political ladder on that platform, and being sworn in as the attorney general. While taking the oath a bystander comments on how he should run for president. Bam, Oscar material right there. |

Quoted: Watching Man on Fire again, one of my favorites. Just wondering what others have for favorites of these types of movies. Genre doesn’t matter westerns, modern, period, male, female, military. View Quote Which version 1987 0r 2004? Both are great. |

I'm going with Man on Fire. Lot of good ones in this thread though.

Lots of good ones already mentioned. I do think The Count of Monte Cristo is probably the single best revenge story ever told.
The Foreigner is very underrated. Excellent movie. The Horseman is not very well-known, but it is a revenge flick. It's particularly brutal, but good. I would also throw in Lucky Number Slevin. |

"Duel" and "Breakdown" (I really liked this one). A husband and wife are hi-jacked by douche bags out in the desert and Kurt gets loose.... Don't watch the clip if you don't like spoilers. BTW, probably not safe for work or youngsters.
