Epically bad response. Whole thing will end up a case study on how to ruin a name brand. That guy from Cold Steel ass fucked him and pissed on his dog. Any other brand for the win.

That was very weak. He should have hired someone to write the response, and Peter Coyote to read it.

Trump expediently donated to Dems in the day. What is Benchmade’s position going forward?

Let liberals and cops buy your shit then, I moved on, so should you.

Spyderco has locks where the mechanism is in a similar spot to the axis lock. Manix 2 and others. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I love my mini griptilian with the Spydyhole. I have other knives with thumb studs and I hate those. Spyderco doesn't have a axis lock does it? 3.5 inch blade an a yellow handle is what I need. Manix 2 and others. Ball Bearing Lock They also have the compression lock. Compression Lock |

Benchmade could simply have said no to the PD when asked to help destroy firearms. Also, the PD needed specialty equipment to destroy the firearms? Since when is a chop saw "specialty" equipment? Easy enough for the PD to buy a 200.00 dollars saw from Harbor Freight. View Quote Not that I want to see any guns get chopped up, but if that was their dept policy, a 6.00 hacksaw from Lowe's would have treated them right. You guys know there was one OCPD officer who said, "I gotta buddy who works down the road at Benchmade, he'll cut these up for us." And the rest of us get to watch Benchmade circle down the shitter as they should. Zero Tolerance makes much better knives anyhow. |

If anyonecares for micro tech they are really pro gun...owner shoots sniper competitions

I feel like buying something from Cold Steel now, just cause.

I definitely don't need another knife but I'm buying a Cold Steel knife today purely as a sign of support. We need to reward folks that support our cause and withdraw support from those that do not.

Benchmade is off my Christmas card list. Unless they do an apology tour with an appropriate amount of grovelling, it will be permanent.

I wonder if he does not understand that after they take away our guns that they will take the knives next.
Or does he just not care what happens to the company he started and future of his employees? |
|
He finishes his nonsense speech by stating: "We will continue to invest in training and working with our elected officials here in Oregon."
Not only is this not an apology or explanation, he is doubling down on all of it, including their donations to anti-gun Democrats. |

The fallout was caused by a blatant disregarding for supporting our second amendment. Takes half way through the video to even bring up the second amendment and is only touched on briefly. The confidence shown in the video was also very poor. I won't hold that against him as much as not everyone is a good presenter. Overall I would say I'm confident I will not be purchasing benchmade products moving forward.

It stinks since I really like some of the “Benchmark” knives but will now stay away.
I was looking at getting a griptillian next based on the size & style. My latest buy was a Kershaw Launch 6 and couldn’t be happier. |

On a side issue... it’s illegal to carry a pocket knife across state lines???!!!

Wait till Benchmade is forced to call up their vendors and ask "hey we've seen you havent placed a wholesale order for our knives in a month you gonna buy some?"
"No thanks" There goes all your business |

In the video description, The last 48 hours have been busy fielding calls from our customers and speaking with media. We appreciate all those who have reached out to us seeking further information or in support of the Benchmade team. It was important for owner Les de Asis to address our community directly, and to deliver the Benchmade stance first hand. When asked specifically, Les stated, "Our recent political contributions have been in favor of state-level legislation supporting a strong manufacturing and business environment here in Oregon while protecting knife owners across the United States in the form of the Interstate Transport Act." The Interstate Transport Act would have created a federal protection for knife owners, to learn more, see comments. Thank you to our loyal customers for your continued support. We hope this brings clarity to the situation, and we look forward to serving you. The Interstate Transport Act would have created a federal protection for knife owners, allowing legal interstate travel with knives, provided the knives are transported to and from states where the law allows possession of said knives, and they are transported in locked containers. This is an act we've been trying to see into law over the last five years. While it did not pass in 2018, we hope to see it through into law when it is reintroduced this year. View Quote |

What a pathetic response video. I hope Benchmade goes down in flames but that the freedom respecting and second amendment loving talent branches off to create a new quality knife company. The founder/CEO can go fuck himself, as well as anyone else with his ideals/mentality.

So I'm guessing they don't advertise on this site?
Don't own one and now I never will. Spyderco and Microtech are GTG. |

Quoted: you would GET to citizen. You should write them a letter and thank them for fighting for your right to bear arms. In a locked container. In the trunk. Just like the founders intended.
