How to not handle a media crisis when you've been called out for playing both sides of the fence. Just when I thought Troy and Springfield were the case studies on this, Benchmade said "hold my beer." Kudo's to Cold Steel for kicking dirt on the corpse.

Fewer than 200 comments since they opened it up on the video. Needs to get hammered like the rest of their social media.

I wonder if he does not understand that after they take away our guns that they will take the knives next. Or does he just not care what happens to the company he started and future of his employees? View Quote |

Like most every person who does a dastardly deed, he is sorry that he got caught---not that he did the dastardly deed, only that he got caught.
definition: dastardly deed - cowardly, pusillanimous, craven, having or showing a lack of courage, implies a weak or ignoble lack of courage, a failure to stand up for principle, a contemptible lack of courage. |

Benchmade, way over priced. I’ve owned a lot of their auto knives in the past, I’m glad I’ve gotten to see the under current of how they operate. To hell with Benchmade.

Maybe some of the democrats you sucked up to can help you out in the unemployment line.

I really like their knives but I ain't buying them or this.
I buy too many Spydercos,ZTs, and Cold Steels as it is. Check out Cold Steel's Bush Ranger. Great design, steel, materials, and the tri-ad lock! |

I saw a nice model 62 I really have been wanting for a long time at a BM dealer today. Guy wont move on his price and wasn't aware of the dumpster fire in Oregon right now. I'll give it a bit and see what happens.

Did Benchmade say no political donations?
They also say "made in the US". |

I have been carrying one of these on duty for the past 20 years. I don’t need an over priced Benchmade or the owner’s weak ass back pedaling.
Cold Steel and Spyderco are also good options. Attached File |

That was perhaps the most meaningless and incoherent statement I have ever heard. I have 2 Benchmades somewhere, they are OK, I'm not going to throw them away or sell them, but that clown will certainly never see another penny from me.

What is (was) their annual revenue? That video looked podunk. It was rushed to publication, had a goof as a spokesman, and had no production quality. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Same..I live less than 30 miles from where Spyderco has their headquarters. Guess I'll be spending my money with them now.

Holy shit was that terrible. Did nothing to address the reason for their actions. Amateur hour bullshit with a million and one different takes. They are going to get fucked worse now after putting out that weak response.

The only Benchmades I have are a Presidio Auto that was given to me by a friend in Afghanistan, and it’s beat to shit but still works. The other is a used Auto Stryker. Both decent enough knives, but I never really got into them for one reason or another.
My Spydercos, on the other hand, have been with me all over the world, and just “feel” right every time I pick them up. I’ve never picked up a Benchmade that had that feel, and I’m pretty sure now that i never will. The difference, I think, is in the fact that one company values its customers and the other obviously does not. |

Pressure your local gun store that carries knives, to discontinue carrying them. Write letters to the larger chains that carry them. Or talk to store managers. View Quote I’ll also be dropping my my local gun shop, but I’m sure they’re already aware. |

Micro Brews and rain has ruined their minds. It’s all part of the tough guy liberal crap where they say “I don’t need a gun, I’ll use my fist.” That’s what about 1/2 the knife guys are. That and dragon porn.

Alan Gottlieb, the founder of the pro-gun rights Second Amendment Foundation, noted that destroying guns would benefit gun manufacturers.
“If there’s a demand to buy firearms, and the city has destroyed these guns, it just helps the firearms industry selling new guns … If you’re anti-gun it backfires in your face.” |

2 min 8 sec worth of nothing. He never addresses the issue.
Not much of a knife guy but I've never purchased a Benchmade product and likely never will. |

I stomped on my dick with track spikes and one of you gun nut bastards poured lemon juice on me. But, but, but we make good knives and all of our employees are, you know, good employees. I don't take back what we did. God bless 'Merica. Worst apology since the Tiger Woods' one where he stared at the camera and said absolutely nothing. |
