Put a 22 rifle out with firing pin removed on the porch as bait.
Wait with a AR Collect reward. |

Quoted: Just got update, perp is within 1.5 miles of my place with lots of cover. Says dude is a known thief, too. Sheriff will be active all night in area. View Quote And this is why we should've bought thermal instead of ARs 7, 8, 9, and 10.... Even better if you've a thermal-equipped drone. But seriously, good luck. I hope the criminal is caught quickly, and that your family is not bothered further. |

Whatever you’re best with at ranges typical to your homestead.
For me, that’s either my CCW pistol, which is easy to have on me all the time, or a Remington 870 Police Magnum, which is not as convenient. |

Same thing I have now, house gun is a S&W MP9mm Compact with 2 spare mags loaded, my S&W Shield Plus with and extra mag as backup. If I know the felon is close I'll load a AR up, I keep one in the safe with 3 mags loaded. 2nd choice would be this
. Fulton Armory production M1 Carbine. I've 3 good USGI 15 rounds mags loaded with this Hornady .30 Carbine Someone will say its my funeral but I wouldn't want to be hit by a couple of those, and if I need more than 45 rounds I'm dead anyway |

defense in depth. Flood lights. Obvious cameras. Talk to neighbors about the same, potentially paying for their upgrades for mutually supported positions... to include communications. Lock your sheds, take the covers off boats and such.

Banana hammock and cast iron pan (use regular steel at your peril). Back field where he presumable has to go through has lawn gnomes filled with tannerite. At first sighting (if there is any, hopefully not) "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work we go" on an outside PA speaker and a revolver in your off hand for shooting the gnomes.

Just did another scan, and nothing seen. Perimeter still set, tho.
Some have posted pics of their dags that are on point, but all I have is this dummy: Attached File But he looks and sounds the part and his ears do work, so hopefully he's on point too tonight. |

MP5K. That's my HD gun. Sure as shit not gonna let loose with 5.56 in here. Don't particularly wanna let loose with my Mossberg 930 Tactical in here either.

Another one? JHC we just finished the PA one.
Will you be going on on the hunt armed with NV/thermal/firepower, as was one of our arfcommers in PA? |

Quoted: Local felon on the run in my area. Sherriff has perimeters set up, and ghetto bird circling. Long creek nearby that's dry and lots of pasture, so it's easier for this guy to evade. Pistol, rifle, or shotgun at the ready should the dumbass try to crash your property? View Quote We've only had this happen twice when we lived in the city (and it was a fairly quiet area, oddly enough).. We both had our pistols and I got the shotgun and sat it by the chair I was sitting in (this was close to 17 years ago). Now, I'd get the AR |

As big of a fan of the venerable AR as I am, I think I’d opt for a high-capacity 9 on my hip and a scattergun fed with buckshot. I’m protecting my 20 yards of urban lot at most, so I don’t need distance beyond that.

When this happened last year, I considered my options. The setting was known to likely be several hours. Residential neighborhood. I wanted to be able to walk around the house yet heavily armed. But comfortable.
I choose the Steyr AUG. It has 5.56 Power with a 30 round magazine. Being a smooth sided bullpup, it BoarderPatrol hangs vertically on my right side, and the left side of the gun is smooth, and the pistol grip and trigger are positioned directly where the hand drops down, allowing quick hip shoot engagement capability, and one handed shouldering and aimed fire. The safety is naturally put on safe by being pressed against the right side of my body, as an additional safety component of the deployment. I put a laser on it, to allow aimed hip fire shots if needed, or I can draw it up to my shoulder and fire aimed shots. I did not choose a handgun because encounters could have been as far as 50 yards. I did not chose an AR15, because it does not as effectively hang with the trigger as quickly accessible, as a weight-balanced AUG did. And the AUG is shorter enough that in CQB, I can still have my support hand free and close enough to door knobs to engage while the rifle is shouldered and pointed though it. After 3 hours walking around doing my normal evening at the house, they caught him several blocks away. |

Sandbagged firing position with a tripod mounted MG with known beaten zones marked out. Never know when one guy in a ragged jumpsuit might turn into an armed platoon sized element attempting to take your home.
