Wife and I both ride. We decided to buy a new bike for our anniversary. She first saw the Kymco Spade 150 at the Barber Vintage fest last year. She said then she was going to get one...and we did. It’s neither of us main ride as that would be insane. Some of you won’t understand this

Interesting.
Friend of mine got one of those 125cc Kawazakis. There's a bunch of them and the Honda Groms running around. People look ridiculous on them. True definition of a monkey fucking a football! I suppose they're fun to ride around in a parking lot, I just wish people would realize a 125 really doesn't belong on the highways. I think topped out at redline my friend says it'll barely make 60. Anyway, have fun with it. I know that particular company makes all kinds of various bikes, some of them are pretty neat. I think they even had a clone of my bike, the SV650, out for a while. |

Your momentary lapse of good judgement is excused....we all make mistakes. Great bike if you commute 3 miles to the beach from your home.

At 1st...I thought "Chinese junk".
After reading about Kymco, they are a Taiwanese company that partnered with Honda in the past. So I gotta say...You have an cool, interesting and unique bike OP. _ |

LOL, comparable to my unreasonable desire to own a Ural. |

Well...we have one of those too. It’s the wife’s main ride.https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/191077/2726A570-DF77-4489-8D68-C059ACA75B7D-574927.JPG View Quote |

Yes as a matter of fact. It cost over a third what the bike cost. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

If I'm going to die riding a motorcycle, I'd like it be at least be my nicest motorcycle.

They are so stupid to drive but so much fun. If you get off a hack and you aren't smiling then you are dead. Which in all fairness in my opinion a sidecar rig is indeed trying to kill you. But my wife loves it despite the extra skill it takes to pilot one. View Quote I have seen videos of how easily they get away from you while turning, especially with an empty sidecar. True? Or are people specifically going out and making them look unstable? How is the reliability and quality control? When I've seen them new at dealers in person, they look sharp, but I am not much of a mechanic, so I dislike having to fiddle with stuff just to get it running, never mind being able to take it on a long road trip or rely on it for commuting. (My first car was a Triumph TR7. While it taught me a lot about cars, it also instilled in me a near phobia for unreliable vehicles. ) |

My wife's is a 2017. They are real far far from Honda. The bolts rust pretty much from day one. You will need a better steering damper. The fit and finish is rough, which suits it perfect. The transmission...oh' Jesus the transmission. It's a heel/ toe because you need it! It's simplicity makes working on them easy. Valve adjustments are simple as are oil changes. But the service interval is short compared to modern bikes. They start, they run, and they ride. People take them all over the place but you have to want one. What ever you do don't try one as you will have too much fun to not start shopping. We would buy one again no doubt. It's possible the wife loves it more than she does me. |

Nice. Good color. I bet it is a blast to zip around on.
I would love to have a small bike for fun. I've ridden Ninja 250s a few times - briefly. Some of the most fun on two wheels. I'm too tall and arthritic, particularly knees, for that bike so I suppose going any smaller would be really painful. I'm going to downsize this summer. Going from the bike in my avatar to an FJR1300ES. A bit smaller, about 100 pounds lighter and more powerful plus cruise. Attached File Attached File |

Enjoy the new ride.
I keep wanting a Moto Guzzi V7 lll, but the nearest dealer is 2+ hours away and I'm not mechanically inclined. |
