But I have others that sit in the closet or trunk. Training, or shooting? Training, coaching and practicing are not the same things As I said, I have several. One gets used for training with my military position. It gets worn almost every time I'm on the range or in the field. We don't do anywhere as much field stuff as our Army counterparts though. I have a slick carrier that rides in my vehicle. I also use it when I'm teaching. I keep another in the closet next to my bed. It was the one I bought for mil use before they issued us our current ones after switching to OCPs. |

I wore mine to a class once. Other than that, I've got one set up for 556, one for 308 and one for PCC and they all pretty much hang in the closet. Soft armor sees way more use than the hard plates.

I now wear my covert carrier weekly on Shabbat since Oct 7th attacks on Israel. I am volunteer security at my synagogue. Before I only wore plates on just high holy days but I've since kept my Hesco U210 plates in my covert carrier. Probably for a long time I think. My Ferro carrier is just hanging limp in my closet like a frankfurter casing with the meat removed from the inside.

Mostly closet nowadays.
Have spent plenty of time wearing them though. Compared to heavy vests + plates, a plate carrier setup is fucking heaven to wear… |
