I would love to see HKs version of a 365...I’ll get it in a second if so.
Who do you trust more, HK, SIG or S&W, when it comes to pistol quality? To me there’s no comparison, HK makes the best quality pistols out there. You don’t have to like them to admit they are some of the most durable, reliable pistols using top quality materials and methods. |
|
I want it to be awesome, but knowing HK relative to its competition while it’ll no doubt be quality it’ll also be heavier, bigger, and hold less rounds.

And what do you think that the HK will implement to improve on the things about the Glock 43 that you hate? It's a slimline, subcompact, 9mm handgun. There isn't that much to it. |
|
It needs to hold a minimum of 10 rounds to be competitive in today's market.

Quoted: Here's the pic. Which could have easily been in the OP's post. It's like an XDS with a trapezoidal push button mag release. https://uspto.report/patent/grant/D0918328/USD0918328-20210504-D00000.png View Quote Thank you, based potato man. |

Quoted: Mag capacity? Unless they match/beat the 365 or Hellcat it’s a yawn. Don’t get me wrong, I like H&K but to compete they need to bring it. View Quote speaking of copmpeting, call me when cz brings their piece to the 365 "clone" table.... if they "american" making them over in arkansas, they dont have the atf "points" scale to cntend with right? 75 is a great gun, compact is a great gun, p07 is cool, but they could all be so slimmer and shexier.... then, i f they wanna go hole hawg, we need an "offensive 9mm" platform from em like the glock 34 or mk 23, speaking of hk |

I don't give a shit about the tiny guns trend, but glad to see a major player in the industry making a savvy business move. View Quote thats no lie!!! why doht you like the tiny guns? have you fired em? i thinkg they are great! the bigger than tiny cause me to walk funny and hurt my back |

I'd like to see a scaled down 1.5 (10+ rounds) stack version of the CZ-75 with a slim grip frame-steel reinforced polymer. No overly huge squared trigger guard either. GOD!! i hate those. Hammer fired and reverse slide rails like normal to make it different than the P365 and similiar. Have a safety/decocker that can be used either way without needed to change it. Make the safety flat against the frame, but more like the old safety from the BHP. No need for "wings" on the frame. And offensive 9mm should be set up for RDS and collapsing brace from the factory. Imagine a CZ phantom with retractible brace that slides right out of the frame with 25rd mags as standard. Picatinny spare mag holder in front of the trigger guard. |

Curious what exactly they are patenting, I looked it up. Here is the patent claim:
https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/54/a2/0d/93654dbfc2bca3/USD918328.pdf "The ornamental design for a handgun , as shown and described" Heck, I was unaware you could patent that. There was no other description. Nothing to indicate caliber or round count. I'm assuming it'll be a P365 13 round competitor; as I didn't see anything to indicate it's exclusively single-stack. |
|
I really like how the vp9 fits my hand. Like to see the finished product....with optics cutout. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they've updated it.

Quoted: They are a little late to the game. With that said, probably will be bigger and chunkier than the competition. That is my biggest gripe. I have a VP9sk and there is nothing subcompact about it but I love the ergonomics and quality. View Quote I have one too. I wish they would squeeze another 2 rounds in the 10 round mag like they did making the 15 round VP9 mags now hold 17 rounds. |

View Quote It won't be cheap, but you could probably do it by buying 17 rounders and moving the base and locking plates and maybe the follower to the SK mags. I'm kinda curious if it would give you +2 or just +1 in the SK body. Might try that myself later. I also want to do similar for the extended mags. The 15 should be as easy as moving the spacer to a 17 mag. The 13 might be trickier. |

Interesting. Too bad it lacks any sort of rail and no paddle mag release.

Wouldn’t be too expensive to try, you can now buy the 15 to 17 round conversion kits for $15 https://us.hkwebshop.com/hkstorefront/hk/en/Handgun-Parts/Handgun-Accessories/VP9-P30-15rd-to-17rd-Magazine-conversion-kit/p/50247185 The 15 rounders are going to be a little trickier that...the base plate on the SK 15 round mags is completely different than the 17 rounders so the spacer swap won’t work. You might be able add a 17 round follower, spring and locking plate to the 15 rounder but without the 17 round base plate, I don’t know if you what increase you would see as the 17 round base plate is a new design than the 15 rounders. |

HK making a new single stack compact. Glock making a carbine. What is going on?

Get me an alloy frame p7 that holds 12 rounds and I'm in. An expensive XDS isn't going to do it for me.
Make HK great again. |
