The Daytona by HF is tier 1. I have the 3ton low profile long reach myself.

I have the same one in green. Very good unit. No reason to spend more.

The daytona 4 ton floor jacks are superb. They're made in the same factory as the Snap ons and are dang near identical.

I use them to lift heavy trucks all the time.

They fixed the jack stands and they're pretty good now

This, harbor freight got in a lawsuit for saying “same factory as snap on.. “ I don’t remember what the outcome was but their defense was “yeah same factory”. Apparently the welds on a snap on are slightly nicer finish but nobody really cares about the finish of welds on a floor jack. My 3 ton has been great. Dang thing is defeated by a zip tie when rolling though…

I love their badlands offroad jack, use it like crazy at the farm.  It rolls great on the gravel and dirt, and the extra height rocks for the jeeps and  pickups.

I have a 4 ton. No issues.

I'm thinking of getting their off road jack.

I've had one of them for at least 10 years. Dual piston was the key at that time.

Still runs up and down like a champ

The video is well done and informative. I feel good about the purchase of my Daytona.

What's the deal with the recall on HF jack stands? Does that go back awhile? I have four six ton models and any one of them should hold the weight of what I am lifting by themselves.

Jack stands are rated by weight per pair, not individually, FYI.

The 3 ton low profile long reach are their best jacks especially considering lifting height.  I have a couple I use simultaneously for each side or each end of vehicles.

Do any of the 3 ton share that lineage? They have a nice super-duty with a 24" lift that would be nice for my tall truck. 4 ton with a 20" lift listed for $50 less though... I could probably learn to suck my belly in 4".

I don’t know about where they are manufactured, but I think it was the 3 ton “super duty” that’s normally $290 that snap-on sued harbor freight over. So I would assume that one is closer to the snap-on than the 4 ton.

This is the one (I have the sunburst orange version);

That’s the one I want, but I already have a floor jack that works fine.

I ended up buying the 3 ton Super Duty (the Snap On lawsuit ones) instead of the 4 ton.  The 3SD was discounted to the same price as the 4 ton with their club discount.   When looking at them side by side it seemed the SD had several features missing in the rest of the Daytona line.  Additional grease zerks, etc.   The store manager said he's never seen a SD come back in for warranty.

Jacks & jack stands are two things I'd never cheap out on. My floor jacks are Hein-Werner & they're well worth the extra few $$$ over the China Freight brands.

YMMV.

Finally someone came out and made the classic pearl clutching claim that he doesn't trust anything but the top of the line stuff.

Of course....he provides no data to support the claim that the "top of the line" stuff is superior  in any substantial way to the lesser cost brands.

Its all about the feels here.
