View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes 4A has a differential between the front and rear output in the transfer case, 4H does not. 4A is like an all wheel drive and can be used on dry non slippery surface like dry pavement, 4H locks the front and rear output together, using it on non slippery surface put's a lot of strain on the drive train and steering |

That’s nifty. Probably great for running around on snowy roads.

Maybe i missed it, but what is the pricing on the 2 door?
My idea of getting a 4Runner is being squashed if the pricing is right on these |

The model and most of the big features will be revealed next week. They will probably tell us things like HP/TQ. They might tell us things like towing numbers. They won't tell us things like fuel economy. It'll probably take a month or three for us to get detailed specifications and full access to the build and price page. When they launch, there will be no incentives, they will start with top trims first, and dealers will be tacking on ADMs to the early units they get. It's pretty much like any other model, but with more attention. |

IIRC all the aftermarket replacements used steel. |

I've been anxiously awaiting this, just like everyone else. However, I realized a while back that these things are going to cost some serious money. If I had $40K+ burning a hole in my pocket, I would just buy an early 1970s Bronco and be done with it.

Quoted: Center console doohicky reads 2H, 4L, 4H and 4A?? Whats 4A? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes It's almost like AWD. Front hubs are locked, but multi-clutch plates arn't engaged until the truck senses slippage. Slight decrease in mileage, and a little bit of a torque steer when hammering down if you get the Torsen front diff. I've had great luck with it but rarely drive in the snow/ice. Some guys never switch out of 4a. Quoted: Nothing but good news there. 2.7l with 7 speed manual, 4.7 e-lockers and 315s petty please. It’ll be a year or two until the MSRP+ gouging ends and I can actually buy one. One could only hope. I hope the 2.7eb is an option, haven't owned one but drove one and it seemed more than capable. I love the 3.5 but wouldn't turn down the 2.7. I can't see 4.7s in this truck. They only put 4.10s in the Raptor. I'd bet 3.73 max or maybe 3.55. If they will do the new 10spd Auto in the Bronco, it somewhat negates the need for crazy gear ratios though. Imagine a 2.7eb with 4.10s, front and rear e-locker, and 10spd as a Raptor model. It would be a beast, but doubt they would offer it in 2dr. |

It’ll be a year or two until the MSRP+ gouging ends and I can actually buy one. I have a suspicion that the 2.7 will be trim limited, and those trims won't be cheap. On the surface, the 2.3 has more than adequate power for this application, but moving from an aluminum block I4 with direct injection only to a compacted graphite iron V6 with dual injection is a gigantic upgrade regardless of power numbers. |

4.7 gears must be for large stock tire options or the transmission is geared high.
