I have already started working with GMRB on barrels. We have been contacted by companies who are considering flats, jigs and receivers. Any info on that stock for the LC? Can the L model be fitted with that stock do you know? I would assume.. |

At $200 I'd be comfortable dropping the money on a kit that has no foreseeable barrel, receiver or 922r compliance parts even available to assemble said rifle.
At $300 I feel it would be a waste of money and would not purchase, until such time the needed support to assemble this kit is available |

...look at that barrel are recevier thats going to be hard to get/ make reweld

I've never gotten a kit-based gun before, but I am interested in this one.
What do we actually need to do, to get this turned into a real rifle? |
|
Looking at the L and the CL, it almost looks like the same hand guard/front sight post on both and just barrel cut down...and of course the collapsible stock. Can anyone confirm?
If I can build a CL sbr I'm incredibly interested. The L itself only moderately excites me. |

Very cool, do want.
Apex, pls don't go to Wise Light for the builds... |

Neat rifle, the Spaniards gonna regret giving up the Cetme for a G36

Did they mention what the price point for the kit is? Are there going to be different variations? |

I don't know any details about the "LC". Looking at how the recoil/drive spring sets into the stock of the "L" I would say there must be some changes to the "LC". The CETME "L" doesn't have that buffer assembly at the back end like you find on the CETME "C" and the HK G3/91. Richard |

About the same time HK starts importing replacement 416/MR556 barrels

Richard Do you have any realistic idea of a timeline for parts becoming available, both for completion & compliance? I have yet shipped a single CETME "L" part set. I have companies that want samples to use for dimensions. Until these get out into the community and industry people have had a chance to study these guns, there is no way to answer your question. so, you can order these kits for 200 and then wait for other companies to make a barrel and a receiver then put it together?

View Quote I am leaning towards doing an "Introductory Sale" on the CETME "L" kits to get a good number of them out into the hands of collectors/shooters/manufactures. However, pricing isn't set nor are any other details. I expect some companies that provide barrels, flats, receivers, jigs, etc will figure out the rest of the "picture" on these CETME "L" and will offer those items for sale. There are some very clever folks around that come up with good solutions. APEX is neither a manufacturer or a gun dealer, I don't employ any gunsmiths! I'm intrigued and will keep an eye on this. If the kits are reasonably priced for the risk of no US parts, I could see getting one.
It's a stamped receiver, so there'd need to be new stamping dies made to make them. Pretty expensive up front. My big reservation is the price of a HK build - these should be pretty similar so the talent pool is there but HK builds are pretty retarded in price compared to other types. Maybe if an outfit tooled up to do a huge run en masse it could be affordable. Also makes me think of the Assault Rifle 1946 weapon from Wolfenstein: The New Order. |
