saw the first SB in 1967 watched for the next 48 years in a row stopped watching the NFL and its SB in 2016 haven't watched another NFL game or SB in 8 years not a single game you? View Quote I think the last Super Bawl I watched was over 20 years ago, or so. |
Probably 15 or 16 years but even back then I rarely ever watched, maybe once every three or four years.
I've watched a couple since I got back to Utah in 2008. I don't even remember what they did to piss me off back then.
First one in many many years tonight.
Home from the Gunshow, it was on, figured what the hell lets see what this is about. Horrible. Boring, cruddy adds, and what they called " intense" was lack luster at best. At least I know Im not missing anything. If that was the biggest game of the season you must be some kind of inbred overweight trailer living weirdo to watch all the games leading up to that fiasco. |
2002. I recall U2 played halftime and did it justice.
But I was there for free beer + pizza. Haven't seen the Oscars or similar Hollywood backslapping parties since the '80s and didn't care then. |
Watching a bunch of millionaires running around on a field is a waste of my time.
Cultural engineering projects made it unwatchable, maybe 10-20 years now for me.
Super Ball? Like those little rubber balls you get from gumball machines? Wow, I haven’t had one of those in about 45 years. We used them to play jacks.
I surfed into and out of the one tonight. I moved here 12 years ago and stopped watching all NFL football several years before that. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago I stopped watching college football.
It's less to do with politics than it has to do with a total loss of interest. When ever play is the most important thing in the world, then no play is important. |
2009 was my last. Sometimes you gotta know when to quit.
I put money on KC but just because earlier this season I suspected it was rigged, as much as the sport can be. Ive posted as much here and there early in the season. I didn't watch the game and just checked the score sometimes. Made some money. |
Never watched one all the way through. Haven't seen any part of one for 20 years or more.
I'm not into sports. |
Feel free to soak up those accolades gentlemen. I am so glad you like don't like something I like.
Ex would watch it and make food. That was 4 years ago. Watched tonight but only reason is because the gal that that I'm seeing wanted to watch the 49ers.
Other than that, just don't watch football. Car, gun and motorcycle hobby takes up my time. |
I haven't watch the Big Game for at least 10 years. FJoeBrandon!
2-3 years. Haven’t really sat and watched one probably in last 5 years. If it was on it was for background noise to pass the time.
chargers 49'ers. when was that? only watched cause Fchargers were a local team at the time.
I was “forced “ to watch the ‘86 one for school, think we made it to halftime then turned it off in disgust.
I’m still shocked that anyone actually wants to watch this nonsense. |
I used to watch it every year. Haven't watched it seriously in a few years until this year. I really wanted to see KC lose, so I watched it pretty seriously at a friend's house.
I enjoyed the food and fellowship with friends. |
I try to watch it yearly. Mostly for the commercials. Only football game I watch every year.
Put me in the never really watched column.
Except for commercials in the past. They were fun like ten+ years ago. Now they generally sicken me. I avoid everything sportsball related. Real sports involve guns or vehicles. Also girls’ gymnastics can be cool. |
Haven't watched the NFL since they got super woke, so maybe 5+ years ago I stopped.
I remember watching the first one (lived in Wisconsin then) when I was a young kid, and the last one I watched was Super Bowl XLI in 2007
I watched about 15 minutes of it one of the times the Cowboys won under Jimmy Johnson while my parents were watching. Haven't watched since.

Cowboys Bills whatever year in the 90s
But I’m not a sports person usually. I’ll watch some NCAA games but occasionally |
16 years
When they started running hispanic heritage month and all that stuff I was getting tired of sportsball crap. Then once i found something better to do with 12 hours per week, I stopped letting them use me Never watched a down again |
Mid 80's? Work hours and starting a family put an end to that and I never got back into the habit.
I still watch Cowboys games, last Superbowl I watched was the last Tom Brady SB in Tampa a couple years ago.
There was a SpOrTz BaLl GaMe TodAy?!?!?!?! HurR DuRrr. I follow professional football but certainly followed less since Ive aged and gotten a number of personal hobbies I care about more. Im not going out of the way to catch a game during duck season. Shit I skipped Bengals playoff games to hunt geese.
