I am on, as of the 2015 Ram 1500, about my 43rd or 44th vehicle (four wheels that were mine, not counting motorcycles). The Ram is my first new one, and I've owned some vehicles that were 20 years old. My Jeep, outside, is 24 years old.
Many, many of them were trash cars or temporary drives (like for a few months) until we got something else. Some I fucked up by not knowing what I was doing, some were sold because they were just that ugly. Edit: oops - 29 years of driving. |

How long have you been licensed to drive and how many cars have you had registered in your name? I know people who change their cars about as often as some people change their underwear. I am the exact opposite. I keep them as long as a can, as difficult as that may be in the rust belt. I have been licensed to drive for 24 years. I have had 5 cars in my name. I still have 4 of those cars. One car for every 4.8 years of driving. View Quote 4 cars 20 years |

18 years of driving. Around 28, but 7 or 8 were projects that never ran. From 16-23 I did a lot of building/trading/driving/selling. V8 S10, turbo buicks, 66 nova, several Camaro's, a Formula, Z06,etc.
No more 'projects' for this guy. I've had my two current cars for over 5 years now. |

Let's make a list -
1968 Fury 2 door 1965 C10 1975 LTD 1967 Volvo 1983 Mustang (V-6!) 1986 Nissan Pickup 1993 Ranger 1992? Sable 1994? Villager 199? Mountaineer 2001 F150 crew cab 2007 Camry hybrid 2009 Altima Coupe 2010 Tacoma and the list my daughters drove, or drive now - 1999 Taurus Two Vibes Two Sentras an Escape. The Taurus and one Vibe were totaled by careless texters that ran them down. One was totaled by rear ending another vehicle by following too close on a rain slickened road (rush hour, but still). One Sentra was totaled by an uninsured driver in Nashville. The F150 was totaled by poor decision making by daughter #2. No wonder I am poor. I hate to shop for used vehicles, too. I have been driving for 44 years. |

34 years of driving and I've owned 6 cars. Thats 1 car every 5 2/3 years on average. When I was younger I went through cars faster. I've had my present one 6 years and had the prior one 13 years. |

I took driver's education at 13 and got my license when I turned 14 in 1961 so about 53 years behind wheels. I've owned 13 cars, two pickups, and three street legal relatively small enduro type motorcycles. I figure I'm somewhere around the million mile mark.
