[Wednesday] Lee Expected to Track North of the Caribbean as a Powerful Hurricane |

There is some doubt in the track now.
9/7 5:00pm discussion from the NHC. Confidence remains high in the track for Lee, with almost no change made to the NHC track forecast. Lee should continue moving west-northwestward along the southern edge of the subtropical ridge for the next 5 days. The ridge is forecast to gradually weaken by early next week, causing Lee to slow down. This track should keep the core of Lee and its damaging winds north of the Leeward Islands. There is uncertainty in any northward turn of Lee beginning early next week, but it is too soon to speculate about specific potential impacts a week or more out. |

Toward late September is when I’ll get concerned for South Carolina Trying to get my Mom's house on IOP sold right now. Sweating every damned storm. Keep watching, these forecasts shift a lot. All the models are using the same assumption about the ridge in it's path. Any significant variation in how that ridge presents will shift the track. |

MIAMI, Florida (KBTX) - As of 10pm Thursday, Hurricane Lee has skyrocketed to category 5 strength in the Southern Atlantic. This hurricane has intensified by 80mph over the last 24 hours. It now joins the list of only six others in the satellite era to do the same: Wilma (2005), Felix (2007), Ike (2008), Matthews (2016), Maria (2017), and Eta (2020). View Quote |

Cat 5 for the next few days. Really hard to tell until about Monday or Tuesday.
Monster of a storm, regardless. |

[Friday] Hurricane Lee Strengthens; Impacts to Land still Days Away and Uncertain |

With a strong cold front tracking next week and hurricane Lee, could be bad in the northern Atlantic if/when they converge. Might not want to be fishing.

I bet New York would love for this hurricane to hit. They would likely scam billions from the “relief package” to shore up the problem they created with the illegals.

I sent an email to family in East Mass, telling them it might be a good idea to start their hurricane preps now. The model shot I saw had it hitting the RI/MA border at around 970 or a little under. That will break things. |

Quoted: Yeah I hate that. Florence made us postpone our wedding, and several of my groomsmen lived on surprise islands for a few weeks but no one suffered any real damage. Sorry it hit you so badly.
