As a kid, my parents once let a homeless lady stay with us for a few weeks. A bunch of our stuff went missing, and shortly after she left, our house was robbed while we were away. And when I say robbed, I mean almost everything. They even rolled up our rugs and took them. While I can't say for certain it was the lady that was behind it, it sure seems highly likely.
I know one homeless person. My buddy’s brother. He’s all messed up on drugs. Probably has some mental issues too but drugs is what got him homeless.

If he has a clean record I would point him towards the military. It helped a lot of us succeed in life and start a great second career after retirement.

Don't let anyone define who you are, as a young black man, especially the democrat party.

Sounds like the movie “same kind of different as me” which was based on a true story.
I let a homeless guy stay with us overnight one time, worked out fine. He was grateful to have a place to get clean and get a good nights rest. I for one think it’s great that you are showing compassion and love to someone that most wouldn’t.

Good for you.
But don't be surprised if it doesn't turn out like in the movies.
But on the other hand if he goes back to the bad life he might improve himself a little quicker because of the kindness you showed him. In my experience people don't have an ah-ha moment when deciding to improve themselves. It's usually over a period of years and it is more evolutionary than revolutionary. But you are a good person for helping him out.

Wow! This has to be a joke, right?
How does one end up with a stranger in their house, let alone with a drug-addicted homeless man?
Do you desire to know him in a biblical meaning of this word?

Never invite a homeless person into your home. They will bring their garbage with them and make it your garbage. Most homeless are mentally ill and OP isn't qualified to deal with that. If he was he would know not to bring the person into his home.

To be fair, most mental health professionals became interested in the field as a means to diagnose themselves. In short, they're probably almost as fucked up as homeless peeps - just higher functioning. Like an alcoholic with a job.
OP, I'm not saying you're gonna die, but you're gonna die. Sorry. Better luck next time.

Exactly. The guy is probably “homeless” because he just got out of the Army or some other typical employment transition that responsible people go through.
