Just buy the water spout kits and drill a hole in the handle for the vent.
Seriously, arfcom loves to overcomplicate gas cans. The stupid plastic red ones with the above modification work fine and are way cheaper than metal cans or the VP racing cans |

View Quote Imagine instead of taking a cap off of a spout and pouring gas into a generator, lawnmower, etc like it used to be in the good old days...you had to hold it over the generator with your right hand (with a handle not allowing for a decent pouring position) while operating some contraption with your left hand to get gas to come out. And when the gas does come out it never flows, it glugs and splashes all over the place. Fucking yay. |

If you are trying to stockpile fuel, no, but if you just need if for lawnmowers, snowblowers, weed eaters, etc, that is your best solution. I have two, one for pure gas, the other with 50:1 premix. |

Quoted: Been on a generator out here the last two days and these gas cans are pissing me off. View Quote The No-spill 2.5 gal cans are great for small engine stuff like generators and mowers. No-spill makes generic branded ones for Walmart, they're like 17 dollars. They self vent through the nozzle like the jerry cans, and the push button and the angle of the nozzle just makes it easy. ETA A tip on adding vents. The plastic flip open vents are readily available and are better than improvised options. Use a spade wood type drill bit, they cut a smoother hole in the plastic than twist bits. |
|
I might or might not have smuggled 10 20L fuel cans back from Canada. You can still get the good cans with the vents up there!
