Great looking suv, OP. They need to update the interior though. It looked dated in the 2001 ES models and hasn't aged well. But they are built like a brick shithouse and very capable.

Quoted: V8 That's why. View Quote I can't lie that the V8 and 6-speed plus the 6500lb tow capacity was a big part of why I bit the bullet. Also, after having the wife's AWD RAV4 for a winter it is really nice not having to mess with switching into and out of 4WD. That is especially true on just partly snow/ice covered roads. |

I like their interior and ride more than the 4Runner, but my wife liked the 4Runner TRD exterior better.
Happy wife, happy life |

I worked at a Lexus dealership in 2013. We had a all employee meeting every morning, kind of like a pep rally. The service manager told us at every meeting that if we have a customer standing in front of us to give them anything they wanted and he meant it. This applied to everyone including the janitor. The customer service is over the top. Fresh baked cookies all day, deli sandwiches served to the customers at lunch, all the soda and bottled water you care to drink, wine on certain occasions. It's first class!
I bought my first Lexus this year, not because of the beautiful grill but the great quality and resell. |

Man I’m really having a hard time not buying one.
Local dealer has a silver one with black grille but it’s got that really light interior and that’s not for me. They’re super tempting though. |

I really don't care if it's 16-17mpg though as I'll likely only put 3-5K miles on it per year at most. |

Congrats!!!! Get on GXOR Facebook group and some of the GX/LX FB groups, also hop on ih8mud for anything and everything about our platform. I've owned three 4Runners (3rd, 4th, and 5th) and currently on my second 470. It's got 33" Cooper MT's with level 8 17X9's waiting to go on if I ever get time to put the lift on. The 460 grill can look good if you get an aftermarket front bumper.

Quoted: My 470 gets about 15-17 lol. My 06 T4R with the 4.7 got between 18-20. She's a heavy unaerodynamic brick, but she will go anywhere. And OP, don't feel like you HAVE to run premium fuel. Run a few tanks if 87 and see how that 4.6 does before wasting a ton on premium. View Quote I put premium in all of my vehicles because fuck ethanol and realistically with how much we drive it may to $50/yr extra for fuel. I don't FB but I am on ih8mud and clublexus now. |

You actually found the first example of a 460 that I really like. Very well thought out by a clever and professional guy. Only detracting bits I might point out are noisy tires and roof rack. But only because the GX is so quiet. All the steel aftermarket 470 bumpers I have found are designed toward rock climbing. We live in the flat desert and don’t really climb anything much bigger than a curb. What really concerns me is some distracted driver running a red light and my GX going over their car while my daughter is driving and it flips. So I want something to push through the wreck rather than climb it. The stealth approach would be great. |
