Well I should say if the tanks had gas in them they wouldn't be legal, but if they were open and dry with no residue they should be ok. Just can't have a bulk gas tank over 120g without placards and all the rules that come along with it. |

Wouldn't a 300 gallon tank on a truck built to use as a fire truck, be used as a water tank (or water and fire suppressing chemicals)? |

I used to love them, still do actually. 30 years will do that. I had been looking at early broncos since I was old enough to consider a second project vehicle (early mid 200's). Non-swiss cheese early broncos have never been "cheap" and have only gone up. Of course I say that as a young man starting out at the time and not a middle aged professional with significantly more disposable income available such as most people that seemed to have bought/own them. |

Quoted: Facts are none of the Negative Nancy's here would have ponyied up $50K for the 73 plus the big dollars needed to keep her in cherry condition. View Quote There’s a significant amount of truth to this ^. I’ve had my ‘51 Panel for sale for months, it’s even in the EE, for $25k. 429, C6, Camaro front clip, 9” rear end, etc., etc., etc… It’s a steal at that price and I get more strangers approaching me and wanting to talk about this Panel than any vehicle I drive, but nobody wants to pony up the cash for it. $25k to drive something this damn cool. Hell, I’ve got at least $3k more than that into the build. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

So, I finally put a couple hundred miles on the new Bronco and in all honesty it’s probably going to spend most of its life sitting in a building. I’ll take it out in the dunes on occasion, but I don’t know when I would ever grab the keys to it for anything else. It only gets about 15 mpg, so I might as well drive my 2021 F350 Dually 4x4. Granted, I drive faster than most folks and squeeze every inch out of the passing lanes , but I drive the Dually the same way and get roughly the same mileage, and I much prefer the comfort of the Dually. I could put the 600 hp Mustang motor I have sitting on a stand in the Bronco and get just as good mileage.
What kind of MPG are the rest of you getting with the twin-turbo 2.7? |

Quoted: What kind of MPG are the rest of you getting with the twin-turbo 2.7? View Quote My in-dash calculation is 17.6 MPG with a mixture of highway/city over the last 450 miles. But, it left the factory on 30's and I'm running 33's without a speedometer calibration. My appointment to get that done is December 3. I run in "Normal" mode, but am going to try "Sport" mode for a while to see what locking out the top 2 gears will do for me. |

View Quote I got 15.9 going from the coast to the valley, over the Coastal Range, with nothing but myself and the wife in it. I’m interested to see the MPG when it’s loaded. I run non-ethanol in all my vehicles, except the Dually, so I was thinking the Bronco would be good for driving to the valley when I didn’t have to carry or pull anything big. The claimed MPG must have been attained going downhill in neutral. |

I average 15-16 on the 900 mile trips I do with my squatched Bronco. I also drive fast

Again, I’d rather grab the keys to the Dually. The wife won’t drive it either, so it’s going to sit. She drives a f~king BMW M7? M9? that I refuse to get in. That’s almost as bad as driving a Porsche. |

I had a 78 full size Bronco, something broke without fail every week and it just got to the point I couldn't afford to keep it on the road. I still miss the hell out of that thing. You will regret this OP.

I’m not happy with the color(blue) and I’m not thrilled about the BOSS 302 crate engine(fake BOSS), but I’d probably leave it in it and maybe have it wrapped. I can’t afford a real Cobra, but I’d like to have the kit car to park in one room with my GT40 continuation car and my GT500. I think it would be a beautiful display. |

Why the crap would you sell a legit Bronco for a piece of crap new Bronco that will never be what your old Bronco was and would become.
